"I'll speak with him too," Morgan replied. "But Maester Raynald first. I would like to allay any shred of doubt about him, and, if he's willing, gain an ally with inside knowledge of the Citadel. Thank you, Princess Kelsey, for your kindness and support> I am most grateful. I know these can't be easy times for you either."

Kelsey nodded after a moment. "Good luck, then. Let me know if you discover anything of importance."

"Thank you," Morgan said again and swiftly turned the conversation to more mundane things.

The queen arrives for a meal. "Making any headway into this problem?"

"A little," she said. "My plans are slowly falling into place but there's work to do yet. I'm most grateful for the chance to stay here while I look into things. I really do hope it will be possible to rights. It's not good for the realm to have such trouble brewing in the south, especially when there's all the trouble with Dorne as well." She paused a moment.
"Would Your Grace care for wine?"

Delila nodded. "Fortunately Dorne is at peace now. My sister is headed there to retake her place at Sunspear."

"I'm glad to hear it." Morgan poured the wine, carefully, before she said "Good news is a blessing in times like these. What of His Grace's army? Do they fare well?"

"Returning as we speak," she said. "Within a week or so."

"That's good. I know the West will welcome them home." A servant came in bearing covered dishes of food. When the woman had departed, Morgan whipped off the first cover to reveal a creamy soup. "Your Grace, will the king be coming with them?"

Delila nodded. "Of course. We have to think about the future after all," she said, moving her eyes to her belly.

"Yes. The hope of a better future is a comfort in even the darkest times. But there are many evils in this world still. The king's forces have faced many dangers recently. I wonder if they would have the strength for one last battle."

Delila nodded. "Brynden and my brother can beat anything that threatens us," she said with a certain edge to her voice. "And my cousin besides."

"I don't doubt it. We're lucky to have men of courage and skill defending the kingdom."
She stirred her soup, tasted a mouthful.
"May I speak frankly, Your Grace?"

"Please," she said. "Say what you must." She had her soup slowly but steadily.
