She nodded slowly. "Perhaps we will come across the ships. With the addition of Lord Drumm's fleet, it couldn't be too hard to miss."

"I suppose I had better," she said, moving away from the railing. She retreated back into the cabin and laid down. Eventually, sleep took her.

The next day they arrived on the western shores of Essos. A small fishing village provides the perfect harbor from which to disembark.

Arania didn't bother changing out of the clothes she had gotten from the serving girl in Braavos. She made sure the Faceless Man's dagger was tucked into her belt and went out onto the deck again, surveying the coast where they had landed. "I hope we manage to catch up with them," she remarked to no one in particular.

The land is cold and grey, and reminds her of the views she had gotten of the Vale on their sail out of Maidenpool so long ago. The fishing ships are busy bringing in the days' catch, and bundled up children are playing outside. The villages under Braavos's influence are safe from the predations of pirates due to the fear its armada inspires.
