You were Yronwood and I was the head of the Faith Militant. We sieged Blackhaven (Dondy/Wes) and were both killed in battle. You actually got decapitated by a legendary in the first round of a cavalry charge.

Thread still open as Arc 2 gets ready to enter its twilight phase.

I have not seen this thread before. Looking at it it seems like this is for suggesting game structure changes, like how we do fights or the ilk? Or do you want us to put our wishlists for our characters actions, or their goals?

Planning another time jump between arc 2 and 3? I think that worked out really well between 1 and 2 as a sort of bookend. I remember right after Arc 1 originally things felt a bit aimless for a while. Some updated Wanted folk from Essos and beyond would also be cool and a good way to expand the world if you're trying to branch out of Westeros a bit more. Something to do when a break from war is needed. Redwyne and Uhtred should certainly have a price on their heads Once the Dig is done, I should be ready to go for the Arc 3 side campaign in Asshaii. Have a loose plot and it should be suitably fucked up.

I know that when we did the time jump last time, we got a little amount of points to spend to improve our characters. However, picking up new skills in this system is pretty darn hard and practically impossible without massive scenario writing. Like if I wanted my guy to become average with a spear now, it would take him far longer than you'd think, even if he was getting a +5 for each fight he does, which he'll likely lose and die.
Could there be some kind of points we get that could only go to skills that we don't have, like if your character wanted to start building a spy network or something? Because otherwise diversifying your character past character creation is really hard. This is of course exempting magical stuff and other crap like that

Well arc 1 got weird at the end because I was returning from deployment, but yes there will be another small time jump.
If players want Essos criminals and such, as has been the policy since day 1 four years ago, anyone can make any npc they want, but only me or Tom or Felix can roll fights for blood. Excepting mini campaign admins, of course

Likely Killion has a massive price on his head too.

If you want skills, one massive scenario can get a bunch of points, staggered over time. Some skills are just too esoteric to give 20 points out at a time. The point is noted, though.

Come now Benny, we're royals with kingdoms behind us. When we're wanted we just call that war

-I like the idea of a time jump to get things going from a fresh start. We can all have a better understanding where things sit since I feel things are so up in the air at the moment. We can all write a little blurb in our char bio about what happens to update things.
-I will work on some wanted folk/side missions once my Dig arc is done.
-I think that along with material rewards players should get + points to certain skills for these side missions (ties into what Uhtred said)
-I agree with Uhtred's sentiment about learning new skills.
-I feel that all soldier or warrior types should just start at base 50 or 60 skill for all weapons.
Was watching a few HEMA trainers and such talking about how a person wielding a sword would know how to wield a spear, he wouldn't just have 0 knowledge as soon as he picked up the spear. He has to know how to fight defensively and versus a spear man so he'd have this knowledge when he'd use a spear himself. The same goes for a guy going from a mace to a sword...it makes little sense a guy would ONLY train in swords when using a mace would be more effective in certain occassions (fighting knights in plate)
-Adding a healing skill and just have it as an umbrella for all healing talents
-If the campaign will be shifting focus to Essos then languages will be more important and need to be more efficient for characters to spend points on. I like the idea its more like chainmail or armour, spend X amount of points to unlock knowledge in it
-The system still has the problem of only rolling mainly combat stats so only combat skills inrease. I don't have much input on how to solve this. And for me its a problem but for others it may not bother them so much. My main has governing because he's a dictator...when can I roll governing to increase the stats? Lords rarely if ever take finance skills when it would be key for them to know even a little bit.
-The appeal of the first westeros civil war game to me was the emphasis on smaller battles and skrimishes where supplies played an important factor but this time around was just battles that snowballed to be bigger and bigger. It's not my cup of tea since there isn't much strategy involved, just whoever rolls better wins.

they will. killing the people gives bonuses, and the whole RPing through stuff gives major bonuses.

Arc 2 was intended to be more destructive for the large fightS so arc three will have much smaller battles. I roll influence rolls a lot so this get boosted pretty regularly but the point is taken. Languages I prefer keeping a pain to learn like in real life because even if things get to head east, most characters are still sort of ignorant Westerosi.
