"As long as that man gets a blade through the face, I think it'll turn out good." Korben commented with a glare up towards the vulture. The man's incessant word game had grated on his nerves, and seeing him get knocked down to the ground would do well to improve his mood.

"You know what I mean," Benjen called back to Jonarth. "Until the morrow."
With that he turned and headed to his tent.
////
The next day, just before noon, Benjen was in his tent, his squire helping him into his plate. He had asked Korben Kenning to be his witness and waited for the man.

Korben arrived at the tent, his face calm though also appearing somewhat perplexed. He was in his armor, and carried his trust axe with him, just in case. After all, they were relying on the honor of a vulture's word in this affair.
"You ready to kick some arse, Prince Stark?" Korben asked, anxious to get this duel started and see the fight play out.

Benjen smiled at the man as he entered, appearing calm and collected. "Always, Ser Korben. You brought your axe, that's good."
He waited for his squire to be done with a strap before making his way to a chest that was in the corner of the room. He opened it and pulled out a wrapped weapon of some kind.
"Ser Korben, I don't know what type of a man the Vulture King is, but I want you to hold this for me."

Korben looked to it curiously, uncertain as he looked towards the wrapped weapon, "What is it?" He asked.

"It's... well, I hesitate to call it a weapon. It's a sword," Benjen says, pulling up the side of the sack that was wrapped around it to reveal a really ugly sword.
"Might not make a difference but it has certain... effects. I want you to hold it and to stay as close to me as you can."

Korben hesitantly held out his hands to hold the wrap, frowning as he looked to see what made this sword so special. "This things not cursed, is it?" He asked as he tried to get why this thing was made so ugly and impractical, "Doesn't seem like it'd be much use in a battle."

The hilt of the sword was a gold statuette of a woman, but the blade itself seemed to be really badly smithed Valyrian Steel.
Benjen smiled and shook his head. "Not cursed, but it dampens magic of any kind. I don't want to take any chances."
He sheathed his own sword and turned towards the exit. "Shall we then."
With that he headed out to meet Jonarth Storm.

"Oh..." Korben said, as he covered the blade back up with the wrap and tucked it under his arm, "Alright...really hoping this thing works, prince stark." He said as he followed him to the battlefield.

Jonarth is in his thick silvery plate as the prince approaches. He has a young man by his side. "Armor or no, Prince Stark? I defer to rank in this."

"Might as well, seeing as we are both wearing it," Benjen responded, unsheathing his sword and setting the scabbard down on the ground. "I will allow you to yield if you wish." He said, not expecting Jonarth to do so.

"You'd have my head later, anyway, I'm sure," he said. "I respect the thought, though." He raises his great mace in salute. A few seconds later the men come at each other.
