"You lived. Twenty thousand men would love to be in your shoes," she said. "More will die. It is a fact. But for the vast majority to live some will ha e to give their everything. You were born to lead. Lead."

"What do you think I am doing down here?" Benjen asked with a chuckled. "Brynden, he follows, as do the rest. Can't say I like it but then someone wrote that the best leaders are those that don't want it." He shrugged, poured some wine. "At least give me a one night of self pity and drunkenness. I promise, tomorrow I'll be... Prince Benjen again."

"Of course," she said. She fiddled with her hair. "Princes get rewarded too, you know. For being leaders."

He gave a slight laugh at that. "That's true... rewards befitting princes and all that sort of thing." He smiled at her. "It'll be alright in the end, Ellaria. I think."

Word arrives that Bryce Dayne's army is marching hard for the south. Blackhaven or even Yronwood seem possible, as is an outside chance at Storm's End.

Benjen gives the order for the host to march to Wyl, where Frances Dayne's host is reported to be.

The host beats Lord Bryce's army to the coastal castle of Wyl. Scouts report Frances moved south to Yronwood to avoid an engagement with the massive army, while King Bryce advances from Summerhall. Prince Aaron sends word his men trail the Dornishman's army, but lack the numbers to engage alone. Mercenaries from Volantis are also probably on their way.
