Uhtred moves away and opens up his visor for a second, coughing in the black smoke. He'll stump back up to the platform and stand back with suspicious eyes behind his helm. He'll stay silent for now. This whole situation feels wrong to him, he's never wanted to go back on a contract more than now. He was reminded of a keep back in the Vale of Arryn, of horrors unleashed and blood monstrosities. This could not end well.

The blood pools, forming with the greenish light and the torchfire to unleash the sickening smell of sulfur. Under the aid of some alien power the blood oozes into the circle, slowly filling in rune after rune, til all the ancient letters are filled out. The remainder of the gore and corpses turn to ash as the smell grows stronger, forcing many to retch as their nostrils are assaulted. Aenys's eyes are wide open as the remaining blood not filling the runes slowly congeals into the form of some sort of shape, looking much like a melting ice cream cone. A long pseudopod extends and slaps against the circle, yet it cannot seem to come through the shield. "WHY HAVE YOU SUMMONED ME MORTALS?" the beast screams in their mind.

The big Captin takes a step back, his mind racing through all the reasons to leave, to just pack up and get out before the Prince damned every soul here to get his "power". His hands are firmly on the axe and he stands ready for violence. There is no way that this would end well. Damn 8000 dragons to a drowned hell, this had probably been a mistake.

Definitely a mistake, now all that remained is to see how irredeemable a mistake. Clearly Aenys wasn''t expecting such a vast display of power. "We come to seek your aid in reclaiming your fellows from a dangerous man..." the demon chuckles, its liquidy gurgle audible throughout the hall.
RELEASE ME AND BE SAVED. The men all shrink back, even the dragon prince. No one seems super willing to do that.

Uhtred grabs the Princes arm and whispers tightly to him "What now? If this thing is what Vhagus has, you want to unleash it on the world? This ancient circle whatever it is can hold it for now, but forever? I doubt it."

Aenys nods. "We need to banish it...this isn't what I was assured would happen. The demons are supposed to take no physical form until after a deal is reached. that's how Vhagus has been able to subjugate them." Apparently, they note, that's the difference between a prince and an Emperor.

Uhtred glances at the thing, then back at the prince "Maybe you weren't supposed to give it anything until the deal was made? Or you gave to much blood? Whatever. How do we get rid of it? I doubt more blood will help."

"There should be a counter-spell in here," the prince said, frantically flipping through the book. "No one touch the Circle! The shield breaks if any part of the circle is obscured!" The demon sludges around the circle, looking for a weak point, singing annoying songs in everyone's head, not dependent on lagnuage, just memories. Uhtred cannot stop hearing that he is no stranger to love.

Harwyn stared at the creature in enraptured fascination, grinning despite the situation. He had left to see new lands and fight new enemies, never had he imagined finding a demon. "You will understand if we desire better terms for your release. You say you will save us, but not from what. You could mean that you would save us from a prolonged existence. What will you give us if we let you out?"

Uhtred keeps a nervous eye on Harwyn, and whispers sideways to him "Don't talk to it. We don't need to encourage the monster. And stop smiling! This thing gets out it'll be having our guts for socks."

Harwyn looks over to Uhtred, giving a shrug in response as the smile remains. "Whether we ignore it or not doesn't chance whether it can kill us. I'm seeing if there is another solution while they look for the spell."

"Oh I'm sure the thing will always keep to its word and would never lie. I mean us mere mortals can so easily but it's probably above that sort of thing. I've seen this before you know. Actually back in westeros" Uhtred watches the prince flip through the pages and muttering to himself "bloody abominations."

"Perhaps the spell means it is bound to it's word, perhaps it can already escape but enjoys toying with it's food." Harwyn goes silent for a moment, turning back to the demon. "I'm waiting."

"Save you from anything you want, mortal," the demon speaks in their minds. "What do you want? Gold, women, land? All yours. Look at Vhagus. He has made the world tremble in just a few short years."

"We can start with knowledge, for with it, the others will follow. Vhagus will need to be dealt with when the time comes. What is this book?" Harwyn gestured to it as he spoke, shifting his attention between the demon and the prince in case either had ideas.
