Uhtred just sighs and nods "I'm assuming you haven't been able to garner Myr's willingness to support either? Who's the ambassador?"

"His name is Fiago Kain. He is too busy trying to buy our little boys to really be much of an ambassador. Truly, a specimen in the finer points of nepotism." The woman rises. "Good luck."

Uhtred will go to meet this Fiago Kain. He'll be prepared for the worst.

Kain is sitting in a pleasure house. Naked. With naked people all around. A naked man is rubbing therapeutic salt onto his naked back. This would be better, but ambassador Fiago apparently has a thing for obesity. He looks up at Uhtred like a yuletide ham, mouth puckered up like he is eating a lemon. "What's this now?"

Uhtred betrays no emotion for now, merely taking a seat on the nearest chair not filled with a naked person. He'll have to start diplomatically "Greetings Ambassador Kain, I am Uhtred Farwynd and I desire to help rid Myr of a enemy and annoyance."

"You mean the poor? Good! Hire all the stinky filth you want and clean up our streets." He eats a raw sausage link. "I'll give you the writ right now." He licks some salt off his own bare shoulder. "Just remember that once you break them, you buy them."

"Of course Ambassador. But I am actually here to speak to you of Moray Entel. The pirate is being helped by Tyrosh to hurt Myr's shipping and trade, and I am looking for Myrish support to destroy him and his fleet."

Kain frowns, half a link in his mouth. "Pirates, now? Tyroshi bastards paying'em to steal our shit, yes yes, old news. What sort of aid do you bring in the fight, here?"

"I bring 20 ships of my own, as well as ships from Saan, Seaworth, and maybe even the chance to use up Lys's warships. If you would throw in your support, Tyrosh would be shamed, and Myr would show the world what it thinks of pirates and the poor fools who steal from the rich."

Kain thinks a moment. "And what is your cut?"

Uhtred leans back in his chair and crosses his legs "A share from the loot of the battle, equal to the representative from Myr, and the representative from Lys. These representatives could return to their respective cities and show off the spoils of a pirate king, as well as proclaim their personal victory over Tyrosh. Whoever represented the fleet would have the chance at both gold and glory."

"And who will command this...august endeavour?" the man said. Clearly he was an idiot, as well as an elephant. How the Lysene haven't used his blubber to make love oils is beyond Uhtred.

Uhtred is careful here "Why... the commander of the Myr forces would of course be up to the city. Whoever they picked would have the chance to gain a captains share. Of course I would serve as the representative from the westeros forces, and the Lys forces would also have their own. I would not expect any member of a Free City to bow down to another in this, though we would of course work together as... equals. To a degree."

"To a degree?" The obese man chuckles. "Someone will lead the fleet into battle, or do we vote on tactics?" His voice makes everything so annoying, Uhtred should just gut him with his axe.

Uhtred resists the urge. For now. "Ah yes, in battle it is very different. But I would not want to give the impression that Lys or Myr would be giving away their forces to each other, unless they were willing to settle on a compromise with me in command of the battle. It would only be in the battle that that authority could extend, as the three fleets can operate quite independently before, and after that point." he didn't want to step on toes here.
