"Three months will hopefully be enough," Benjen said. "Is there anything you wish to do in the meantime? As for Arania and Amelia... well, you can meet them if you like."

"I'd rather scratch my own eyes out," she said pleasantly. "The mess they made fighting over who got to lay with my brother was the most disgusting thing I've ever seen." She looks about. "I may go to the Wall, or I suppose I could go see this Bryce Dayne and his army. He sounds so morbidly formidable."

"The Wall, hmmm..." Benjen said, an idea coming to him. "If you fly north then you will likely pass Kal Stark and his men. If the wildlings are with him you could no doubt inspire them to march quicker. Or we can, if Rhaegys doesn't mind a second rider?"

"If that's what you want," she said. "I had supposed you had more important things to do here." She rises. "If you want to come, meet me at dawn in the Dragonpit."

"King's Landing is in safe hands for now," Benjen said with a shake of his head. "I will be there, tomorrow morning."

They are met by a large welcoming party, who escorts them to the Red Keep. Their leader is the commander of the Kingsland's armies, Lord Richard Footly. "Hope the sailing was through fair weather, Prince Killion," he offers politely. Hee is a tall and powerfully built man with bowed legs from years on horseback. The city is being rebuilt, and if progress could be faster it is mostly because the population of the city is nowhere near what it was. "The winds were fair and seas calm." he remarked as he followed Footly to the Red Keep, a fine change of pace from the tempests of Sothoryos. He looked around at the rebuilding efforts as they walked, amused that he was now being escorted when the last time he had seen this city he had been intent on sacking it. "It seems you have weathered a storm of your own."

"A storm of apocalyptic proportion," the grim man said. "But even the worst can be survived with cooperation." They head into the castle. King Aaron sits on the Iron Throne, a huge man, towering over the biggest of the Ironborn, and he walks down the long staircase.
"Prince Killion," he intoned. "Welcome to King's Landing."

Killion grips King Aaron's column-like forearm with a grin as the man stepped down from the throne.
"Well met." he replied amiably. "It is good to see it rising from the ashes."

The huge king raises his eyebrows. "Harder and stronger, right?" He looks to the prince's companions silently, then back. "I've heard you all have been busy out east."

"If you subscribe to that sort of thing." he smirked, with a glint in his eyes. "Yes, it is a wonder what strange shores you can see and stranger people meet when not embroiled in a continent-wide war."

Aaron grunts. "I suppose so. Your...overlord is strange enough for me," he said.

"My...overlord?" Killion inquired, the Baratheon clearly having hit a nerve.

"This Vhagus fellow. Rides a giant dragon. Killed my family. You familiar with him?" the king asks.

"I think the term you're looking for is ally, but I am aware of him." he corrected. "My condolences though."
