Amelia was present at the feast, wearing a red Myrish dress of silk, revealing but still classy. She had only just made her way into the hall after the melee and looked about for someone to speak with.

Not wanting to grace her with a private audience, Joanna sought out Gatehouse Ami a few days after the wedding to talk shop. It wasn't exactly difficult to spot her among the decently dressed people and she approached her with a slight smile, looking positively confident in her deep green gown. It appeared the last of her limp caused by the wound had vanished. "Amalie Royce, is it?" she asked, getting the name wrong on purpose. "Prince Benjen has told me all about you. It is nice to finally make your acquaintance."

Amelia turned to Joanna and narrows her eyes a little. "Greetings, lady...?" Her eyes widened then. "Oooh, sorry Princess Joanna, yes how lovely to make your acquaintance." She smiled and curtsied, happily confirming to herself that she had a more banging body than the woman Benjen married.
"How is married life treating you?" She asked friendly enough, bringing her wine glass to her pert lips.

Joanna felt a pang of second-hand embarassment for the girl at her squinting, thinking that what she'd just witnessed were eye problems. She didn't of course know why exactly, but had a good guess. "As well as can be expected, thank you," she said with her unfaltering smile, giving her a once over before getting down to business. "So Benjen tells me you're quite the people's person." She offered her a conspiratory wink as it was clear this sentence could have either meant Amelia's agents, or her various trysts. "And he also tells me you will have an important part to play in what's to come, so I will be more than happy to take Bolton's little friends off your.. hands."

It had evidently been the squint of someone trying to figure out who they were talking to. "How gracious of you, Princess Joanna, though it seems that Malryas Bolton's network was not actually that vast." She frowned a little, studying Joanna. "There are some ways of gathering information that do not require having to keep track of network after network."

"Well, it's always warm at the Arbor," replied Jaymes with the hint of a smile. "But I think you are not too far off with those predictions. I can't wait to join my step-brother on the field again." He was of course talking about Ser Tomas Serrett, who some of the meaner folk had began calling the False Lion for some reason. "But before that, I suppose there's the joust. You'll be joining of course? I remember you having quite the steady hand with a lance." "Afraid not, my lord." Korben said with a grin as he drank more of his ale, finding the flavor quite good as he pushed thoughts of future battles aside in his head, "I'm as good a rider as any man, but I've never been one for the precision of a lance. I'm more an axes and halberds kind of man." He said as he finished off his cup, "But don't worry. There's more then one way to fight besides a melee and joust."

Jaymes, confused for a second, realized he must have been thinking of someone else. "Ah, 'course. I've never found it to be too useful in combat, and think of knights as warriors rather as entertainers, but I obviously commend anyone with prowess. It isn't exactly an easy feat, I must admit," he said. Even if it was essentially just knocking other men off their horses with a stick. It had evidently been the squint of someone trying to figure out who they were talking to. "How gracious of you, Princess Joanna, though it seems that Malryas Bolton's network was not actually that vast." She frowned a little, studying Joanna. "There are some ways of gathering information that do not require having to keep track of network after network." "Ah, so you've already rounded them up?" she questioned. "I suppose that might have been so, seeing as all his resources went on hiding his.. true nature." She cocked her head to the side a little. "Are you talking about your gift of magic, by any chance?"

Amelia nodded, eying her glass of wine. "I am still in the process, though I doubt it will do much good. Many of them died before this recent... unfortunate event." She smiled. "And indeed I do, though it seems Malryas Bolton was far, far more talented than myself. I couldn't hope to work in the way he did."

"For your sake, it's better if you don't," she said in what was most likely the most nice and considerate thing she'd ever say to Gatehouse Ami, although she wouldn't exactly have put turning into a giant man-eating bat past her. "If the remains of his network are as insignificant as you say, I suppose you don't need any help. I do, however, hear that congratulations are in order, Lady Royce," she pointed out.

Amelia considered the Nick-lover with a smile. "Thank you, your Grace. Not only that but it seems I am to be wed to the crown prince of the Iron Islands." She gave a titter. "I never actually thought I would end up a queen!"

Joanna raised an eyebrow at this piece of information, then looked almost genuinely sorry for the poor girl. "My condolences," she said.

Amelia chuckled. "It's not all so bad, Joanna. I'll spend as much time as I can in Gulltown, as well as visiting friends. With the riches the Ironborn have now and might have in the future they could easily make their dingy castles a little prettier."

"If it gives you solace," she said with a nod, although looked as if Amelia might have just told her she was going to be living in a fishing village for the rest of her life.

Amelia sipped from her wine and took on a more serious expression. "I do have some information regarding the people who wish to take yours and Prince Benjen's life. It seems they belong to a rebel faction of the faith, and according to Nicholas Snow they have been here recently."

None of this was news to Joanna. She nodded, looking around them to make sure no one was eavesdropping. "I am aware," she said. "Do you know anything at all about this faction?"
