"Servent's of R'hllor did no such thing as Mason Keep, and you are attacking over Rumors, or perhaps lies set down by your own faith. Overacting to rumors or starting war over lies, both would not surprise me."
He looks to the now looking frantic man.
"I am protecting my lands, not for R'hllor, but for the Kingsland for King Derek. He is accepting of both religions, and is loved by the lords of this land. I apologize to inform you that I have allies among even the worshipers of the seven, if they truly wish to disregard their friendship and aid over the fact that your "Septon" told them too. Then I do not wish them for friends, and glad such backstabbers are now in your service then in ours." He looks to him.

OOC: Frantic?
"Any man that would put his gods first is blessed in my eyes." Ghaston replied with conviction. "The time for cavorting with heretics must come to an end. These lands have far too many religions and must be under the true faith. There can only be one!"
"If you will not see reason, I am willing to save more faithful bloodshed and let the matter decided with trial by combat. Let us see which which gods reign supreme in these lands. If you triumph my men will quit the field and return to Summerhall, as the Gods would clearly have shown that it is not our time to retake these lands. If I triumph, your men will surrender the castle and leave these lands to the faithful, never to return. What say you, Dondarrion?"

"There can be only one indeed. However, I will not be risking my men from letting you kill yourself's on my wall, then watch them fall under my brother countrymen. Perhaps once I capture you for being foolish then you will get your trial. I shall see you at war. R'hllor have mercy on you, Commander." He says.

"Then your men serve a coward as well as a heretic." Ghaston spat, wondering what kind of man could still call himself a lord after such a refusal. "Clearly you lack the necessary conviction in your beliefs, no doubt a weakness in your kind. Trust in your high walls over the righteousness of your cause, Lord Dondarrion. Only the guilty would fear a trial and you will pay for your transgressions soon enough."
He looked to Yronwood, wondering whether the Bloodroyal had anything to say to his hated foe.

He turned back around. "Commander, I am no coward. I have stepped within fire itself and returned whole, you are still broken unlike you, who is a fool who thinks I would deny my men the chance they have been so dying to return the favor of the deaths of their families." He looks to him with hard eyes. "I am not going to deny them their rights to revenge."

"Do not make excuses for your cowardice, Lord Dondarrion." Ghaston replied, clearly judging the Marcher Lord as an unworthy foe. "My men and I have not slain any families. None were put to the sword on our way here. I am owed no vengeance, though any that disagree I will not shy away from facing. Your words are lies upon the wind. I would walk through the seven Hells themselves for my faith, yet you lack the conviction to fight one man. Your knights should be ashamed to serve a creature that would cower behind his walls while others die in his place."

"If I would to fight you it would be to the death, on the fields of battle, not hidden behind petty excuses and deals. If you truly wish to know who's army shows more might then meet your match, if you do not I can only assume you know your doom and wish to lie and trick your way inside my walls, that is the way of a coward, not rejecting a false and pointless duel. If anyone should be ashamed it will be yours because your too fool enough to let them die on the battlefield then to admit when you were a fool and lead your men to their deaths." He looks to him. "All you have done today is sprout your faith garbage but while it all buckles down to is skill and training. My men trust me as a known and proud commander, and what I am looking , what I see, is a madman and a zealot." He says waving his hand dismissively, "I want none of your petty crusade, you started a war with me, not the other way around."

"It is not war, to dispense heretics their due fate," Lord Yronwood said dryly, speaking for the first time. "All who serve the false god of fire and his charlatan priests, such as yourself, my lord, will be given a chance to repent of their sins and embrace the Seven, who are the only true Gods of this land. If they do not, they shall be purged from our shores, and there is nothing you or any of the other poor souls who have been duped into following the craven servants of a charlatan god can do about it," he continued acidly.
"If you wish to save the lives of your men, then surrender with honor and forswear your false god, and you will be free to ransom your freedom, nor will you be maltreated to any degree. If you do not, however, every single one of you will die here. Do not think your men will arrive in time to save you because they will not. You will not have another chance, Lord Dondarrion. Choose life, if you are no fool."

"We have already gone over this, we are not leaving, my men have been at war with you for years and you and your men have killed families and men have grown a hatred and thirst for vengeance."
He looks to him.
"All I need to do is wait, to you need to gather the wood to build your towers and I can just wait until the main army attacks from your rear and your army becomes crushed. I do not believe you are in any position to be making demands Lord Yornwood, if you stay here your own life will be forfeit."

"We shall see, Lord Dondarrion. Our positions may be reversed, but you will recall that I fought you to a draw outnumbered slightly in our last engagement and when we met before that I fought you to a draw outnumbered by a much vaster margin. That now that you have fewer men, than I, how will you fare I wonder?" Yronwood asked with a mocking tone in his voice. His expressionless mask never even flickered.
"Ser Ghaston, there is naught left to say here, I think," he said, his tone turning slightly mournful as he turned toward to the Knight-Commander. "You cannot save a man's soul when it wholly embraces the darkness."

"I will also get my revenge for my brother Lord Yronwood, you odiously do not have faith in your own men to have to call upon your faith to help you attack my castle, and now you have doom yourself. Such trickery will not go unpunished." He said turning and riding up the hill to Blackhaven.

Yronwood spared a moment to wonder if the man was even speaking the same language as men spoke in Westeros, and then turned back to his own lines shaking his head.

Ser Ghaston shook his head sadly, but steeled himself for what must be done. He rode back to his tent to prepare for the siege.
