"With my blessing, son. Take five hundred of our mean; Lord Royce shall bolster it when you arrive at the Bloody Gate. Teach them a lesson they will not forget." Terrence claps his son on the shoulder.

"I will leave as soon as I can," Benjen said seriously, one hand on his sword. "Take care of Catherine while I am gone, father. She means a lot to me."

"Of course, son. She is my daughter now. And hopefully mother to my grandson."

Benjen couldn't help but grin as he went off to prepare.

They get stopped at the palace gates, by Ser Justin Mallister, who has a large smile on his face. "About time someone got our...friend here. You've done well, Lars. Head to the great hall; me and the guards will take Grimm here to the dungeons."

"Thank you, Ser Justin. These men aided me a great deal. It was acctually Durran's idea to capture him in the first place." Lars says in reply before doing as Ser Justin bid and went to the great hall.

Inside the great hall, he sees it is far more dark and grim than it had been. soldiers are far more common, even outside Eddard's Rest, and the King sits on his throne. "Master Lars, welcome back. I hear your hunt was successful?"

Lars kneels down and bows his head before the King. "Yes, Your Grace, Gary Grimm has been captured." Lars's eyes dart around the great hall. "If I may ask, why is it that your Great Hall is riddled with soldiers?"

"The North is preparing for war," is Terrence's simple response. "The Faith has seen fit to declare our neighbors to the south to be heretics, and seek to cleanse them from Westeros."

"Do you think they will attack The North next?" Lars asks, moving on from Gary Grimm.
Durran seems to squirm noticing Lars is speaking about other things before he has received his reward.

"The same justification for attacking the Kingsland can be used on us, yes. I do not intend on waiting to find out. Get these men their rewards, for capturing the criminal Gary Grimm!" A man rushes off to find the appropriate gold. "You've done a great service to us."

"Thank you, My King. I wished to go to the Wall and aid the North against the wildlings, but with this recent news, do you have anything you need of me to prepare against this threat?" Lars asks
Durran gleams with excitement as he hears and sees the man run off to get his gold.

Their reward returns. "I have armies raising here and at Lord Harroway's Town, if you'd like to fight, Lars. We can always use your bow and blade."

Durran quickly grabs the gold, reluctantly giving the farmers thier share, and keeping the rest.
"A threat from a civilized kingdom seems more of a threat than the barbaric wildlings. I will fight. Will my mentor, Jackson Snow, be involved in this?" Lars continues after shaking his head at Durran's rudeness of thinking about nothing but his reward.
