"It seems to be addressed from him, though the writing is different," Benjen said, shaking is head. "What are your thoughts?"

"I'm not sure. This just...seems very unlike him." Terrence rubs his head and shakes it. "If it's a joke it's in poor taste, and if it's serious...well, Cassadar is changing."

"Maybe it's your brother's doing," Benjen suggested. "After all, if he has anything to do with Cassadar they might be changing tactics."

''Perhaps, though I fail to see what leaving a note would do...it's clearly not poisoned." Terrence grimaces. "Either way, it must be taken seriously. These troops rallying around the Faith are taking up plenty of our army's attention. We cannot spare all of our strength hunting this man."

The Prince nodded. "Do we have men raised? And where?" He grimaced. "How many enemies do we have? It seems like they are popping up left and right."

"We always have enemies; sometimes they just make themselves more obvious.'" He gets a look. "Also, Ellaria Dayne has vanished apparently. That bastard Frances has been legitimized."

"What!?" Benjen said, looking shocked. "Gods damn it..." He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. "That bastard better not have harmed Ellaria."

Terrence just shakes his head. "I cannot imagine he let her live, though that seems even beyond Lord Bryce's capability to stand."

"He will pay," Benjen said sternly. "Him and Frances Sand and Cassadar... already an impressive list."

"You cannot make enemies everywhere, son. i am rather glad you didn't marry either her or Nina Martell; then their problems would be much closer to us. Although Delila did seem rather taken with that prince of theirs...how was he?"

"A clever young man, proud but intelligent," Benjen told his father. "He would make a good husband to Delila, I can promise you that." The young prince shook his head. "This is all too much."

"A king's life is never dull. Something can always go wrong." Terrence taps his fingertips together. "Malryas's spies are working overtime on attempting to locate Cassadar. For now, we shall keep attention to the movements to our south, where my fellow monarchs seems set on a border war of some sort. I sent Marshal Everett to Riverrun with a thousand men; his presence alone will make the West cautious of advancing." Terrence considers.
"Your marriage will greatly increase your popularity in the short term, especially to such a lovely woman. The smallfolk love having a princess who looks like she stepped from a folk tale. It is perhaps time you went on another mission to increase tales of the young wolf's prowess in battle and suitability as the next king of the North."

A proud smile appeared on the young Prince's face. "If you believe so, father. Tell me where you wish me to go and I will command the men of the North to the best of my ability. No matter the enemy, you will not see me flinch."

"I know you will. To be honest, I am torn. In the North, the traitor Manderly's wildlings are managing flanking raids about the Wall and causing some chaos in the northern lands, even managing to get their rickety fleet as far south as Deepwood Motte, whilst in the Vale, the clan lord Draven has managed to raise a legitimate army."

"They both sounds like legitimate threats," Benjen said, thinking on it for a moment. "I have fought in both lands, likely against similar men... though Draven seems like a more serious threat." He nods. "I will go to the Vale."
