After Lars brings Durran to his tent to let the fool rest and explores the camp. He feels bad for not helping his friend in the fight, even though Durran probably knew he wouldn't step in. Lars is looking for the Mallister camp. Durran wanted his help with finding the Gary Grimm fellow so it was the least Lars could do.

After a period of several years in the Free Cities, Blane came to touch base with some family...and see if anyone needed to trade some gold from their purses into his hands. If he had taken on any fashion sense from the Free Cities, it did not show, and he seemed to fit right in amongst his northern brethren. Apart from his dark skin from the sun of course. His great sword was strapped to his back, and he had smaller blades in a strap along his chest. He traveled with his scribe and a few warriors that had proven themselves in combat.

/////////////////////////////// Lars enters his tent at the North Kingdoms Camp to speak with The Eagle. When he arrives he sees his friend Durran up and sitting on a chair slowly pouring ale into his clearly misshapen and broken jaw.

Jory observed the man. "Durran I presume. Shall we discuss our little hunt?"

Durran raised his glass to The Eagle, and then looked at Lars curiously after Jory's statement.
Lars nods and turns to Durran. "We are hunting Gary Grimm like you wanted. Least I could do for not helping while you got your jaw..."
Lars turns away after seeing his friends messed up face. "You suggest we shadow Mallister then? I would like to tell him first, he is a good man of the North and I don't want to give him the wrong idea if he does discover us." He says to The Eagle.

"You're right. The issue, though, is that he might come to view us as his personal bodyguards and give the whole game away. Men act strangely when their life is on the line, and the way we're playing this, Mallister is the bait."

Lars frowns as he ponders that, he doesn't like the idea of a good Lord as bait. "With everything that is going on do you think Grimm would even try to make a move? I remember the King mentioned Mallister yesterday to Captain Swiftriver, he may be in charge of men at the moment."

"I don't know how bold Grimm will be, but unfortunately Mallister is our only lead right now. If you can think of another way to trap our target, tell me."

Lars shurgs. "No I can't seem too. Are you any good at concealing yourself? I wouldn't want him discovering us if this is the way we go."

"Yes. I'm somewhat proficient at making myself not seen. The question is, how are you going to keep an eye on him."

Lars takes a seat next to Durran, who is still just trying to funnel ale down his throat while listening, and thinks for a moment. "Not sure, truth be told I've never done this before. I hunt animals not stalk humans. I can keep myself out of sight and the King may tell me what Mallister is ordered to do as of right now."

Jory gave a sad smile "Animals and humans are not that different."
He turned to Durran. "You know, if you keep doing that, you're going to get very sick and very drunk very quickly.

"Thatsspppss ta poointta." Durran responds to Jory.
Lars smiles. "Well the drunk part I'm sure he means. So should I find out Mallister's current orders? We can then track him see if Grimm shows himself, maybe he will use the chaos since he is unlikely to get blamed."

"Right. Good idea. Get to that and meet me back here at dawn tomorrow. I've got some preparations to do."
