"That was a fine day for the Seven." he smiles, for once feeling blessed for the new memories he had rather than all the ones he had lost. "I do hope you will give your favor to a man of the Seven. It would be a shame to see it flying from a Northman's lance."

"Of course not, ser! Unless of course he is one of those still keeping the faith in the Riverlands or the Vale." she said firmly.

"A fine answer, my lady." he says with approval. "I will have to tell the High Septon of what devout children Lord Dayne has raised."

They both just look at each other at that comment, but smile anyway. "We should be going; others no doubt wish to speak to you, ser." Ellaria curtsies and shuffles off.

After the crowds have left, only the most devout staying for after hours vespers, High Septon Warren approaches his old friend. "Ser Ghaston, I should say attendance here is better than expected. Even taking out all the nonbelievers.'

"Ever the optimist, Holy Father" Ghaston replied skeptically. "There was a time when this modest sept wouln't have been nearly enough to contain the faithful, and multiple services would have been necessary. Now with the Riverlands, Vale, and Stormlands fallen into darkness simply filling the pews is a miracle."

Warren thinks on it a moment. "Ever the pessimist, my friend. The Seven's light shines as brightly to some of us as ever. I saw the Lord of Storm's End here myself, as devout as ever. Remember, it was the church's failings over the last seventy years that let this heresy be possible in the first place. that," he glances at the elder knight, "is why you Warrior's Sons were brought back, to restore the balance." Without the Warrior, after all, the Seven are merely Six."

"And the Warrior must be ever watchful for dangers, with sword in hand." Ghaston replied with conviction. "The septons spread the faith and the Warrior's Sons defend it."
"It will be you that sets the tone for the next seventy years, whether it be to herald the Seven's revival or watch t slip into obscurity." he continued, before revealing a wide grin. "It is not a responsibility I envy."

"The Seven will work their plan through another vessel should I fall. the Seven-Pointed Star makes that much perfectly clear.'' Warren frowns. "We will have entrants in the tourney, yes? It would do the realm well to see the Faith showing its chivalry on the field of honor."

"Not to mention the prize could go a long way towards building new septs and the charity works your so fond of." Ghaston said with a small smile, remembering that he had been one such charity. "I'll be competing and I'm sure Redwyne wont pass up the chance either. I've given the rest leave to compete if they wish."

Warren thinks. "There are rumors of all sorts of miscreants running about, preying on the defenseless here." He narrows his eyes. "One, in particular, dares call himself a knight. Ilyn Lordsbane."

Ser Ghaston was well aware of Illyn Lordsbane, the vile man standing in stark contrast to the two devout Dornish he had just met.
"I had heard he fled to the Free Cities." Ghaston stated, intrigued that the man was rumored to be nearby. "Then I have your leave to bring him the Warrior's justice?"

Lord Yronwood makes his way into the Sept to pray while his camp is set up. He notices the High Septon and the Knight-Captain of the Warrior's sons, immediately recognizing them both, but he does not react, instead goes about with his prayers, waiting to be addressed if and when His High Holiness wished to do so.

Warren nods. "My leave is not required to do the Seven's work." He notices the Dornish lord. "And, see, Ser Ghaston, Dorne hasn't forgotten the Seven, as Ser Markus promised us."

"Dorne has not forgotten the Seven, your Holiness," Yronwood said. "Though incursions of men bearing the word of that false red god are more and more common. I hanged three men last month alone, coming down the Pass from the Stormlands to preach the fire god's word."
