"I have no doubt they shall not pass the Boneway, my lord. You have always been a faithful servant to the true gods. But, my lord, have you met our champion, Ser Ghaston?" Warren gestures to the elderly knight.

"I have not, Holiness, but my Steward, who is also Septon of the Stone Way Sept, Tomas å Beckett, knows you both well," he said, knowing that Septon Tomas had travelled the roads of Westeros, preaching with High Septon Warren, before he became High Septon, of course. "It is a pleasure to meet you, Ser, your reputation greatly precedes you."

"A fate too kind for those that would turn the faithful from the Seven's light." Ser Ghaston said with approval, extending his hand to the Bloodroyal. "As does your own reputation, Lord Yronwood. Your contribution in Faylynn's War was worthy of the Warrior's praise."

"It was only justice, we sought, and the Seven looked on our actions with favor else we would not have made the gains we did. When we were besieged in Yronwood it could only have been their intervention, that kept us alive long enough for the Prince to arrive with his men," Lord Yronwood said, though he was clearly pleased to receive the praise, taking the Knight-Commander's hand firmly.
"I had thought to make a pilgrimage to the Starry Sept after the tournament, though I fear my Princess has many tasks which she demands that I must attend to."

"The will of the gods supersedes the will of kings and queens, Lord Yronwood." Ghaston replied, not unkindly. "Your soul before your duty. Make your pilgrimage."

A young man comes rushing in. "Ser Ghaston, Ser Ghaston! Ser Ilyn Lordsbane! He's been seen in a small village just north of here!"

Ser Ghaston turned to a nearby Warrior's Son, adopting an authoritative demeanor.
"Saddle my horse and fetch Ser Myles and Ser Silar!" he commanded, eager to bring the Seven's justice to the villain. "Would you like to accompany us, Lord Yronwood? You can think of it as another type of pilgrimage."

Within a half hour, the knights have assembled, armor taking a long time to put on properly, after all. Ser Markus Dayne is among them. He kneels before Ser Ghaston. "Ser, if you would have me on this quest, my sword is yours."

"I am sure the Seven will be glad to have such a fine blade in their service." Ser Ghaston replied, clasping Dayne on the back before mounting his horse.

The knights ride north. It is an eight mile journey, so it is quite nightfall when they arrive.

Ser Gerold was entering the Sept as a young man ran in yelling about Lordsbane being spotted. Gerold hurried back to his tent where he put on his armor, grabbed his weapons, and mounted his sand steed then returned to the Sept. He rode north with the lords and other knights.
Ser Gerold scanned their surroundings keeping a sharp eye out so as to avoid getting ambushed. It became increasingly difficult as night fell upon them.

Ser Ghaston wheeled his horse around at the sound of hoofbeats behind them. He cut off the rider and drew his crystal pomelled longsword.
"I don't recall inviting you, stranger." he said evenly, blade tip leveled at Sand's face. "Dismount and identify yourself."

Ser Gerold did as requested a slight smile on his face. "Ser Gerold Sand" He scanned the faces giving a slight nod to Lord Yronwood then pausing briefly on his half-brothers with a knowing smile. Gerold and Ser Markus had similar features.
"I am a knight of Dorne and a faithful follower of The Faith." His eyes locked onto the Lord Commander. "I have a score to settle with this Lordsbane, my spear is at your command."

"And what need would a Knight of the Seven have for a bastard's spear?" Ghaston asked, sword still in hand as he glared at the dornish knight. "Can I trust this man to not succumb to his base values and profane our holy mission, Lord Yronwood?"

ooc: seeing as he isn't here.
Ser Markus Dayne's voice gently interrupts. ''Ser Ghaston, Ser Gerold and I have fought outlaws on several occasions, and his spear is far more noble than his birth."
