"Curse for you maybe," she agreed. "But life is all about vampirism, just not usually so literally," she said. Killion's teeth are horribly inept at the art of drinking blood, so he laps it up and it tastes....not so good, yet. He might need some time to develop the thirst. The female finishes Amelia off, and she smiled at Killion as her teeth looked crimson and dripped. "You drink their blood, we drink their sorcery," she said with a smile. "Fair is fair. We shall see you when you have someone new for us." She blew him a kiss and the pair start to walk away, leaving Killion alone with the dried husk of Amelia Royce.

"I assume you will gift me with additional benefits for each worthy offering?" he called after them, drinking from a skin of pear brandy at his belt to wash out the taste of blood, trying not to retch. "Otherwise I may as well sustain myself on waifs and beggars."

"Thirty years or so of extended life for every strong magic user," the man said. "It'll be a long while before you age a day. So long, mind, as you drink blood when you feel the thirst. The longer your youth lasts, well, if you cannot come up with ways to strengthen yourself in that time, then there is little we can do to help that."

Killion nodded and watched his new "friends of convenience" depart, before heading back to Krakenhal with Amelia's desiccated head.
