"Done." he agreed, ordering twenty guardsmen to join them with his trio of royal guardsmen. "Lead the way then." Amelia nodded and turned about, leading the way out of the keep. She focused on the magical signals again to see if they had moved.

The signals are moving a lot, like wandering the streets or something. Her detection is not exactly radar, though. the general directions hold, and after a few minutes, the southern one stops, like it has boarded a vessel.

"This way," Amelia said, quickly leading the way towards the southern signal. "It feels like he or she might be on a ship," She said whilst they hurried along the streets. "With the harbour closed they won't get far."

"Or it." Killion added, remembering when he had once been a skeptic. He followed the sorceress, his men clearing the streets as they made for the harbor.

After a time they make it to the harbor. The other magic signal is leisurely making its way to them, every time Amelia checks. There are a dozen ships at dock and Amelia can't narrow it down much; magical detection gets weaker the closer something is due to overload.

"It's here, somewhere," Amelia said, pointing towards the ships. "It's hard to get a sense on what ship it is but... the other source is coming this way too..."
She looked around, trying to keep focused. "We'll have to check ship by ship to find it."

Killion orders the ships searched thoroughly, standing with arms behind his back as he observed the work, barking orders.
"The other one is heading here? I had hoped to handle them separately, but this certainly saves time and effort."

Amelia looks far more worried than Killion, preparing herself mentally for a magical conflict. "Or we all die," She said quietly, ready to release her magic at any moment.

"Ever the pessimist." he chuckled, drawing his swords as the search continued, ready to draw his blood of another's if that was called for. "A reaver shouldn't die old in bed."

"Realist," Amelia responded, trying to make out how far the approaching source was. "Both of these could best me with ease."

"Well if you die at least I'll know where to look for your replacement first." he laughed, ordering crossbowmen and archers to the rooftops.

It turns out finding the source of the magic is easy. Killion's crewman find a dead man, white, pale, devoid of blood, lying in a ship's cabin. Amelia recognizes him with a bit of difficulty as Faeron Targaryen.

"Faeron..." Amelia said, kneeling by the body. "I... what could have done this to him..." She said, trying to see if she could find any wounds on him.

After considerable effort, she finds two holes on the lower left side of his chest, like something had simply tapped into his aorta and taken everything that was there.

Amelia paled and looked up at Killion. "Something sucked his blood!" She said, sounding shocked. She concentrated to see where the other source of magic was.
