"Where did their army go...?" Uhtred mutters, tech chattering as the cold finally comes at him with a vengeance "inside?"

"That is odd" Robyn said, looking up at the mountain, then she saw the gate at the bottom, "It's almost like they want us to go in" Robyn commented, "Should we? Or should we go back for the army? Not that they'd do much good in that bottleneck..." she looked at the hole into the mountain, "It's probably a trap.

"Or it's why they feel so comfortable waiting us out," Kalvin said. "They're not above the ground anyway. These glaciers can be thousands of feet thick...they're living in a fucking mountain encased completely in ice. Te gods alone know what they've amassed down there over..millenia." He shivered. "We turn back. We know where they're at now."

"And what are we going to do when we go back there, not knowing what they have down there, not knowing their numbers or anything? There could be ten of them or ten thousand, as you said, they could have anything in there."

"We can't well go in ourselves," he said. "and even if this is just a hole with a few of them, it'd make a perfect base for if we had to go further north; sheltered from the wind and warmer as we got lower into the tunnels." He shrugged. "But I'm open to ideas. I am sure the Crowl would love a frontal assault."

"We have to go back. Here, they're in their element. We need numbers. Though I worry with the army in this ice" he stamps his foot speculatively "too many and I can't see it supporting us."

Robyn looked round to see if any animals were around, ideally ones that... ran, not flew.

The ice field is about as bad an environment for animals as it gets. The mountains might have marmots or some such critter.

"Climb it, see whats moving up top there. If there is a way to get inside from the top then hopefully that might provide a good advantage.

Robyn frowned at the lack of animals to warg, how was she supposed to sneak down there now. "Either way, we will need to check it out, we just need to do it with the least risk possible, so, perhaps we should send in some people who are particularly stealthy, have a quick look around and then come back, I mean, to put them off, think that we really have gone, everyone else could go, might lower their guard a bit."
Or that, "If there are animals on that mountain, I could always try using one to look inside, it would then virtually be risk free"

"If they aren't already watching us," Kalvin said. "I have trouble believing ANYTHING lives up here." He looked back and forth. "I assume you think you're stealthy, dear?" he said. "Me and Crowl sure aren't."

"I assume from your tone, you think I am not?" She replied, looking to her husband.

"We all have twenty pounds of winter clothing on," he winked. "I'm jsut not sure how the Others sense things...whether sight or sound or some other bullshit ability."

"Suppose we can't risk a torch" Uhtred said absentmindedly "might hunt by heat or something. Though we'd stand out anyway in this chill if that was the case."

"I am happy to do what the Majority said, but I would worry about the army coming across this ice,"
