"I am going to do my best! Gods!" she snapped. then sighed, "Sorry, it's been a... tough few days, I think... I may have to go out there... if whatever he is planning is soon... Oriax is not even that side of the wall... it must be someone else doing this too. Have you heard of... Elmangoreth? " Julia shakes her head. "Maybe...I think it's a name for the Great Other. Like a god." She frowned. "It'd explain the raw power the sorcerer has found."

"Yes, the great other? Like the red priests... Other God?" She asked, the night certainly was dark and full and terrors, and so was the day.

"Maybe," she said. "I don't even know if it's one being. Just their leader." She shook her head. "Only a god could do this, I think. Even Oriax has limits."

"A god..." She shook her head, as if things were bad enough, not just calling himself a god, an actual God. "It is what it is," her voice cracked a bit as she spoke, "hope the wall stays standing..."

Julia looked down. "Doesn't seem to be going anywhere," she said. "I'm more hoping your friends fare well against...him."

"Yeah, it's a solid old thing." She smiled down at it, "if there is a god up north... Oriax might be the least of our problems..."

"If they find a way we have to be here," Benjen responded. "Or if Oriax kills those hunting him and makes his way back to take command. Then there's the normal undead, the wights - they can pop up wherever they wish."

Titus pursed his lips. "Reason enough for me," he shrugged. "Well, I've got a bit of rust, but my sword arm is still good should you have use of me. I'll be about," he nodded.

Benjen nodded. "Always have a use for a good sword and... an old friend." He gave a strange laugh. "That was a mess against Draven. Thought I'd seen the worst of it but you can count yourself glad you didn't see King's Landing. Or Dorne."

"Yeah, it's a solid old thing." She smiled down at it, "if there is a god up north... Oriax might be the least of our problems..." "Well, they're split right now," she said. "Best strike while they can't help each other, I suppose."

I've heard a take or two, if it was worse then that woman...Gods, I don't even remember her name. I suppose there aren't many of any station who've escape the past few years unscathed. One way or another the evil has found us all," Titus shuddered.

"Zenobia," Benjen stated, remembering the sorceress well. "Bryce Dayne was a whole different beast. His son, Frances, is still out there in Myr. Him and his sadistic wife." He pointed north. "Not as big a thread as this though."

"Too many threats for so few decent men," Titus mused. "It was Zenobia, wasn't it. I'll never forget Zebby. Would you believe that just last night I ran across one of my old sailors? Jarvis was his name, he and I were the only two to survive that fight. Perhaps I'm not meant to escape the name Titus Grafton. Perhaps I have unfinished business, though I know not what. This raise in sorcery...what caused it? Do you know? Growing up it was a rumor, a whisper, a tale to scare children. What changed?"

"Dragons," Benjen said, leaning over to look into the inky darkness. "That and those damn demons. Zenobia was part of a group of people who went to Yeen to do... well, something. They went to do good and ended up getting possessed by demons." He sighed. "I think there is something in this world for you that isn't death, Titus. Gulltown is... my brother Hector is currently in charge, though whether it will stay that way I do not know. A name is just a name, gods be damned."

Titus couldn't help but laugh. "Seems I still have a good deal of catching up to do. Dragons and demons and dead men. What I wouldn't give to return to the days of one cunt of a Lord wanting some of some other cunt of a Lord's land. Well, if I'm Titus Grafton again, I should at least have bath. Oh, and if it isn't to much I could use a better sword. The quality of the weapons you provide your new recruits is abysmal. Truly as disgrace to art of smithing," he shook his head.
