Prince Benjen and his men arrived via ship and he instantly goes to seek out the commander of the castle.

Approaching Eastwatch, Benjen notices that the docks are unusually full of ships for a place so lacking in traceable goods. Some of the vessels are even flagged from as far off as Myr.

"Okay men, keep your eyes open," Benjen warned, before docking and then... going to see the commander.

Ser Lucas Broom greets him. "Prince Benjen," he said. "Unexpected surprise."

"So was the fleet in the harbour," Benjen said, shaking the man's hand. "Myrish vessels." He chuckled. "Can't think for the life of me what you'd want from Myr."

"Same thing everyone has," he said. "Gold. We were as surprised when they showed up as anyone. They wanted good lumber from our forests for good currency. Permanent armies aren't cheap."

"Winterfell not providing enough money? I'll let Lord Stark know," Benjen said, shaking his head. "We've been hearing rumours, down south, of things beyond the Wall."

"He ain't sent us one damn copper since the fucking wild kings came through. You've heard of him and the Lord Commander's grudges.". The western knight drowned. "Yea, this Grey Man. Scaring the fuck out of everyone out west. U.S., we still got Logan the Last to deal with," he said.

"I will make sure Eddard's Rest sends some more money," Benjen promised. "Not heard much of Logan, but the Grey man, that's the one. Amelia Royce..." He pauses. "Think she knows who he is. What he wants." He laughed. "She even had some suspicions about the Night's Watch."

"Suspicions, hm?" He looks annoyed. "What the fuck does she know? She ain't never been up here."

"That's what I said to her," Benjen admitted with another shake of the head. "Everyone knows the Night's Watch is beholden to nothing but the protection of the realm and the guarding of the Wall. The fact that she was attacked, in Braavos, by some black brothers... well, anyone can wear black."

"If wearing black made one a black brother, then house Dondarrion owes us about two thousand recruits," he said. "But a few months ago we did have some men go rogue. Decided celibacy was too hard when even the wildlings all vanished south of us. Figured if we didn't have nothing to guard against then there's no point staying at the Wall." He shook his head. "Like it were really wildlings that we built this Wall for. Seven hundred feet to keep out a few thousand poor warriors and a couple hundred Giants. Not fucking likely."

"You don't say. How many of your men went rogue? Any idea where they went?" Benjen asked, his eyes narrowing. "You ever hear the name Leonard Grafton?"

"They deserted Castle Black, about forty, forged some papers saying they were authorized a ship for some weapons pickup from King's Landing. Never saw them again," he said. "Grafton? Yea, he was a First Ranger here a few years ago, son of a whore deserted us to join his cousin or uncle or whoever it was in his ill fated rebellion against you. We sent out searches but that war got pretty fucking bloody if you recall."
