the lord is sitting on a chair, head facing the ceiling and his eyes closed. His great sword sits in a corner. The servants are being unusually quiet. Most of the usual belongings are packed away. A young guard is holding a poultice to his cheek. "Princess Robyn here to see you, m'lord." He opens his eyes.
"Let her in." His voice is flat, not the usual low menace he emits but more one of resignation. "Good afternoon, princess," he said.

"Good afternoon, I can leave if you'd prefer," she said stands behind him, after looking at the guard.

"That'd be a short meeting after a year,0 he said. "You look great, and I saw you yesterday. Hell of a lot you've learned."

There was plenty Robyn could say to the first one, but she let it go.
She walked round the tent to stand in front of him. "I had plenty of time to practice in meereen, without wars and the like. Everything you taught me started sinking in properly." She said, inclining her head to him. "I hear you're leaving?"

"This is what your father said," he agreed. "Apparently I am too volatile for delicate negotiations." He looked at her. "I interpret my behavior a different way." He smiled. "I always knew you had it in you."

"Nearly had enough in me too, but I defeated enough knights in full plate with my scale armour and shorts sword to have not shamed myself, I think. king Aaron is... Impressively strong, like the Crowl."
"Volatile? You?" She tried joking, but her smile was more... Sad and resigned than joking or mocking. "What did you do?"

"You exceeded every expectation. As always," he said. "I went to go finish the job you started. Your father didn't approve."

"We should have finished the job we started then and there" she said frowning, "but benjen had to get involved. Should have let me handle it, I was handling it." She said shaking her head. "Did you, get lady karstark back then?"

"No, your father stopped me," he said. "Caution is your brother's trademark, but it is ill suited to this case," he said. "But enough of him. How are you?"

"And now my father is sending you away, that is a shame." She smiled at him, "I am well, a bit tired," she replied honestly. "How are you, other than wealthy?" She teased.

"I've missed you," he said. "It's been...a long time." He looks about. "It's hard, you know, seeing you so...adult-like," he admitted. "From the girl who used to beg to follow us on hunts and such to the beautiful woman you are today."

"It has been, probably the longest time I've spent apart from you as long as I can remember," Robyn agreed, "I imagine it makes things uncomfortable for you, knowing me then and knowing me now. It is not as if you can forget the child."

Kalvin thought. "I moved on from thinking of you as a child three years ago," he said. "And knew in my heart you weren't long before that."
