Uhtred snorts "Bring her into this? She was a hostage, the demon boltons were looking for her! I thought I was out of it, she brought me into it!" at the mention of training he looks sideways at Nick "Half-trained eh? You willing to train that? Heh."

At that Nick and Ellaria get an odd look. "You held her hostage, then?" Nick lets it drop for now. "If I had trained her she'd have less knowledge and more success."

"Benjen took me hostage, I took him hostage, long string of hostages ended up with Amelia as a temporary one. Long stupid story short, ambushes are bullshit." Uhtred sighed "Will we need this sorcery then in the end you think? Dayne had it, but it seemed only to corrupt him. You have it, and don't seem that bad. Amelia has it... don't want to even go there."

"It corrupts everyone in the end. It is literally ssacrifice given power, and one can only give so much of their own before they look to others to fill the deficit. My mother gave in, Vhagus gave in, Oriax never even pretended to fight the urges...Amelia thinks it too much a game to resist. One day, I suspect I will give in. But not until I have killed the rest." Nick nods and adjusts his sword.

"So that's your goal? The death of all corrupt sorcerers?" Uhtred thinks for a moment "A lofty goal. And one I would be willing to help. But as I am, I can only swing a axe and lead a fleet. And I only have the axe. I need to start building up again. Heh, harder and stronger."

"I have plenty of goals. Keeps me from aging prematurely." Ellaria rolls her eyes.
"An axe in the right hands is worth an army." She said. "Particularly if your enemies aren't an army, but rather shadowy little assassins hiding like rats."

"Shadowy little assassins eh? Hmph, mayaps if I encounter them I will bring you their heads. Give me a ship or two and we'll call it even. For now" He says, stretching his back as he stands "I intend to go to Oldtown. This citadel business is interesting, and I have long wanted a chance at their more... hidden stacks. Maybe find something of Valyria there. With Hightowers call, it seems like a good opportunity. Where is your next monster Nick?"

"Just don't take her hostage," Ellaria quipped. "That poor decision already cost me one brother." Nick shrugs.
"There are monsters everywhere, but one in particular has chosen to go for family. It's north for me, I think."

He tips a imaginary hat to Ellaria "Noted, Lady Ella... er, Dayne. Off with their heads if I get the chance. When you head to Yeen Nick... look for me. I had a part to play in breaking the circle, even if it was just transportation to it, and I would not see my debts unpaid. Unless you have other business with me, Farewell."

Nick tosses him a flask. "The last of my wildfire. enjoy it."

Uhtred catches the flask casually, hears the words, then looks at the flask in dawning horror "And you just... damned gods man. Thank you, I think. You know how to make it then? Heh, that'd be something to learn. But I imagine you're a bit busy for a apprentice. I'll be off." Uhtred leaves with his horse, riding hard for Oldtown.

"You can throw it," he calls out. "Just don't let it leave the damned flask!"

The cave goes into the mountain the castle is set on, and ruined gates lie open as they explore the depths. It seems to have been a prison of some sort. The metal is stil ltoo hot to touch. As the cave slowly cools, they venture further in to see what might be discovered.

The cave widens into a great circular room, filled with bodies. Two thrones are on the far end of it. It is eerie.

Lyonel swore softly under his breath at the sight. He beckoned to one of the guards. "Get out of here and find someone with authority. Tell him what we've found. And get them here."
He motioned to other guards. "Keep away from the thrones for the moment. Check the bodies. Find out if they died from fire or from some other cause."
