Amelia frowned at that, thinking. "What do you think it means... he must know something! There must be something happening that will help him."

"Maybe," Denys said. "But Old Volantis isn't moving to help him yet."

"Perhaps his alliance has broken down? What else could it be?" Amelia asked. "I do not imagine Dayne has lost his blood lust."

Denys looked at her. "I'm going to have to charge the North for all the intelligence you get," he said. "I believe he is trying to get into bed with the Targaryens. He wants their dragon to face off with Vhagus, and they want his...talents."

"The Targaryens. Hmm..." Amelia frowned at that, then pouted, then almost smiled. "We should let them fight it out, kill each other. But then, with a dragon, Bryce would easily take Westeros for his own. Hmmmm. Not good. Oh, and you can charge me in ass."

"Cute," he said. "But I'm not the Mistress of Whispers. I didn't get rich doing work for free." He shrugged. "Send Lord Stark back to Meereen. I heard he loves it there."

"I am sure I would convince the Targaryens not to ally with Bryce Dayne," Amelia replied with a small smile, drinking her wine before rising to sit on Denys lap. "Though he may end up getting eaten by a dragon."

His fingers trail her leg. "With stories I hear of the man, maybe it is for the best."

"Oh, Kalvin isn't so bad," Amelia said, leaning back against him, glass going to her lips. "Though not the best I've ever had in bed."

"Nothing is half so erotic as hearing of your wife's conquests," Denys said drily. "I had wondered if he was on your list."

"Or maybe I am just teasing you," Amelia said with a giggle, turning around and looking at him with big eyes. "I'm not stupid, you know."

"I know," he said, kissing her. "But I don't know these oddly brutal men you have surrounded yourself with."

"They are good people, if a little hard," Amelia told him. "With the heart in the right place but morals very different from people in the Free Cities. I had never thought of Westeros as a backwater, or as barbaric until I visited Braavos and the east. I would still hesitate calling it that but it is much mores simple."

"There is plenty of barbarism here," he said. "It keeps me employed and you in those jewels. They match your nipples," he said. "You should take advantage of that." He yawns. "Tell me about the royal family."

"Prince Benjen is a good man, though I think he can still be somewhat idealistic and headstrong," Amelia said, straddling Denys and giving him a great view of her cleavage. "His first wife was a good woman, very strong but a tad willful. Joanna... I do not know her well enough, though I fear she likes me very little. A good person I believe but maybe a bit arrogant."
She played with a lock of her hair. "I want a diamond in my belly button, I think."
