"Well, it was traumatic, for sure. She was my twin," he said. "But it was a long time ago. What did you think of the Vale, when you weren't fighting? I know it's cold."

"It is a royal wedding I suppose, and a double one at that, so I can see why they might be here," Benjen answered, gesticulating with his ale. "So long as they don't start fingerdancing or carrying girls away they'll be alright." "I suppose you are right," she said with a small smile. Truthfully, she'd always considered the Ironborn savages rather than actual nobility, which technically.. they were. "They will probably leave that for later, once everyone's disbanded." She said it in a light tone, but it was most likely true. Ellaria comes up to him. "May I have this dance now, my lord? You are far too handsome to look so frsutrated." She extends a hand. He drained the mug and set it down on the table next to them, a little more forcefully than he'd intended. "Of course," he said, taking her hand. It struck him that this was the third time today he'd led a beautiful lady to the dancing area, and he didn't even like dancing. Joanna was probably laughing at him up on that dais somewhere. "So, that bit earlier.. an odd way to strike up a conversation," he said, and smiled to show his intentions were good. He was a lot more confident in his movements after a healthy jug of liquid courage, it seemed.

Ellaria is a more...progressive dancer than Jaymes is used to, but he probably doesn't mind too much. "I apologize; I was a quiet little girl, but having a father like mine will take that out of you soon enough. Sometimes you just have to cut loose." She presses against him close and her breath is hot on his cheek. "Don't you agree?" Nick and Kelsey seem to be enjoying their more...traditional dance.

"you were close then," She said, and nodded, "even in the snow it was very beautiful" she gave a stock answer, she had not particularly noticed it being that beautiful, "I would be happy to return to it for more pleasant reasons,"

"You would like the Eyrie," he says, confidently. "I am sure men tell you how lovely you are all the time. Regrettably, my martial training hasn't left me the most gifted tongue in the North. I could write you a bad poem, though," he jokes.

"Ehhh, if anyone starts a fight they'll have to deal with me," Benjen said with a chuckle, waving towards the sword that Vhagus Blackfyre had sent him, lying with the others on the table. He downed his ale and had it refilled. "Have you ever seen a demon?" He asked, straight faced.

"I didn't attend the ceremony so wouldn't be able to tell you." He states honestly, "Haven't been to many weddings to even know the difference really. We use a weirwood tree for our weddings on Skagos. Usually the parties are all the same though." Ah yes, dancing, celebrating, the sword fights are later, all together though, right? And to bring it all together" he grabs a wine glass from a passing servant "enough wine to make people feel young and to be stupid. The Skaagos, it is a island yes? What is it like?"

"I would rather people be honest with me, than flatter me," She said honestly, people had often told her in recent years that was good looking, but years of being the ugly one of the Kings daughters made it sometimes hard to swallow. "What would I like best about the Eyrie"

While initially straight as a lance at the sudden closeness and the fact that the princess had chosen to run to Nick Snow of all people, Jaymes eventually eased into the dance, and after a while, found it difficult to look away from the girl's eyes. They were just so... purple. "You know.. You might be absolutely right," he said with the smile of someone who was on his way to getting drunk. "I think I was the opposite as a child. And look at what I've become. Fathers. No good, right?"

"Well, it would be difficult to hyperbolize enough to flatter you with exaggerations," Rodrik said. "The castle is the most beautiful in all Westeros. It has its own waterfall that drops a thousand feet of open air." As he talks, Robyn sees her father walking to her half brother, looking a bit angry. Nick lets go of the princess and holds his hands out to indicate he means no harm, then he slinks back to a chair.

Ellaria smiles at him with her dazzling teeth. "Fathers, indeed. Let's go have some more wine, my lord. I have danced up a thirst." She saunters over to a pitcher and fills two more glasses. "Your sister is a lucky lady, marrying a prince."

"That sounds great,"Robyn said looking round him slightly, not really listening as she focus' on her father and brother, and then narrows her eyes at it. Her father making her angry with his actions. She did not understand them, "asshole" She said under her breath, meaning her Dad. She kept looking over his shoulder to see if her half brother looked, perturbed.

"Wellll, I sort of just swiped at it and got hit by one of its swords," He answered, swiping with his hand when he said the word 'swiped'. "'Twas Amelia who slew it but, and I am proud of her fo-" He stopped, pointed to where the girl was unambiguously chatting up an Ironborn Prince. "At a damn wedding..." He grumbled.

Rodrik looks back too, just to see why she's so curious. Nick seems to be considering something while he is seated, a still-full glass of wine in front of him. He waves off a few women who approach him and stares at a candle in the center of the table. Sorcerers staring at candles never ends well.

"Your sister is a lucky lady, marrying a prince." Jaymes had no objections to that. He accepted the wine. "I suppose there could be worse fates," he agreed. Like having to marry Grafton, he thought, or Redwyne. He lifted his glass. "To what do we trink to?"
