"Swearing off a whole kingdom from an experience with one man." he chided, flexing his injured wrist. "Hells, I would never have returned were he the mold from which all my kind were poured."
"I was hoping to convince you to show me a bit of magic, sorceress." he grinned, tone indicating this wasn't innuendo...probably.

"Magic, hmm?" Amelia said, thinking on that for a moment. "I might be persuaded before taking my bath, but I'm not sure how much I have left in me. Casting spells takes its toll."

"Excuses excuses." he tutted, shaking his head. In all honestly, he was still rather skeptical about the whole thing. He swore he had seen some shadows move, but in the middle of a fight in the dark the eyes could play tricks. After all, all he had was the word of Snow and Royce that the old man had been possessed. He wasn't convinced this was not some bizarre practical joke greenlanders played on "ignorant" Ironborn. "What do you need? Some kind of witch's brew?"

Amelia smirked to herself. "I need a fire, nothing more. Come to my chambers and build me one and I will give you a demonstration." She headed back into the castle and lead the way to her chambers.

Nick just shook his head. She'd tried that same line on him.

Dud laughed at that. "I honestly couldn't tell you, though it was a poor showing for the ironborn... Beat by an old man." Dud just smiled as the ironborn ran out after the old man. "I'm no noble, though can't say I'm not trying to become one." "Looks can be deceiving, as you learned," Jenny responded with a chuckle. "You're a knight though, right? Makes you noble, doesn't it?" Dud laughed. "I suppose the title would grant me into things that I otherwise could not. I was knighted by some old sell sword in Essos. Joined his company and when I started to rise through the ranks, he knighted me in front of everyone. It was an honor, no doubt, but I'm not sure if that makes me a noble like the ones here." Dud answered "Soon though, I will continue to campaign with Prince Benjen and if I do well enough I hope to reach a status that a lot of these other guests have here."

"I guess you aren't landed, or whatever it's called," Jenny said, and when Dud told her of his potential plans she frowns. "I hope you won't forget all us little people when you're a big lord."

Dud smiles sweetly at Ella and kisses her on the cheek. "Of course not. I'm not the type to forget where I came from, and I'm a long way off from being some big lord anyway."

"Now it's kisses, hmm?" Jenny said, looking at Dud in surprise. "Well, a small hall or something like that is a start."

Dud reddened a little on her response to the kiss on the cheek. "Aye, had to return it eventually, I did get one from you when you sent me into your little trap in the woods." Truth was the wine was hitting him more than expected. "A small hall is all I'm after, some honest land to live off of. Being a landed knight is a landed knight. I'm not so bold to overreach."
