Benjen realized that whatever was in that room was what they were looking for. "In here!" He called out to the men. "We need to break through this door quickly!"
Amelia, standing under cover in the hallways attempted to look through the shadows and see if she could make out how many men were firing at Benjen's group.

The door is barred from their side, so lifting the barricade should only take two men. Amelia feels the presence of four men to the east, and at least six from the west. The west side is firing but not the east so far. She also feels an odd sensation behind the door they are facing.

"There's four men to the east and six on the west!" Amelia called out to the others. "Wait with that door!"
Benjen ordered the men to quickly fire into the west hallway, the chance of hitting someone more likely. Danya joined them in shooting (73 Crossbows)
Amelia attempted to slip through the slits of the door with shadows and see if she can detect what on earth was behind it.

Jaymes was present, but avoided the frontline as of now as he was in self-preserve mode and there were a lot of loose bolts and arrows flying around.

Results of the arrow storm are tough to verify, but at least one of the enemy are hit judging by sounds. Above their heads the group hears the sounds of steel and screams of pain from above. Amelia tries detecting what is behind the door, but it is radiating magic like some sort of fog that blocks her vision. Whatever is back there, it is far beyond her abilities. The sounds from the crossbowmen seem desperate. As everyone finds cover in room or staircase, the sounds of clicking crossbows cease.
After a minute, the thumping on the door becomes stronger, and stronger.

Benjen looks from the hallway to the throbbing door, his face grim. He stares at the door for a long moment before nodding. "Open it," He commands to two of his men, hand on his sword. "Crossbows ready on the door! Only shoot on my command!"

Jaymes, who unlike the prince had drawn his sword upon entering the cellar, held his breath. He was 99% sure there was an ogre behind the door.

The men lift the bar and are immediately crushed against the wall as the door flies open, so fast they cannot get out of the way. The crunch of bone is sickening as they die, chain mail hitting them so hard it embeds itself in their skin. Nothing enters the room, but the group now feels the pressure building, pulsing, in their bones, their ears, their eyes. It's like the rush of a roller coaster mixed with a building being imploded. Most of the guards, even the veterans are extremely nervous at the completely unfamiliar phenomenon. One can't help himself and a crossbow bolt lances into the room. After a few seconds unarmed but feral looking men and women come pouring from the door, one stuck with a bolt in his arm. The fight is on, as any attempts to shout to them is overwhelmed by the sound and the ear-deadedning pulses of energy.

Benjen rips the sword from his sheath and leads the charge against the strange, feral people. Time to kill. Danya is part of the rush and Amelia stands back, attempting to use her power to take some of the fire from the torch and expand it to light the strange attackers on fire.

Round 1:
Benjen: 164 Danya: 109 (-10) Jaymes: 156 Guards: 121 average
Zombies!!!!: 130 average
Danya is tackled by the numbed beasts and it bites her on the arm as she squirms. The armored guards hold their own, but the real damage done is dealt by Benjen and Lord Jaymes, who together slay three of the weirdos. Jaymes feels a bit more at home having something to hackk a sword at rather than worry about questions of magic or morality, and Benjen falls to the solace he finds in swordplay. The beasts' teeth and claws are near useless against them.

Round 2:
Benjen: 158 Danya: 127 Jaymes: 167 Guards: 112 average ZOMBIES (-5 for PC losses): 134 averages
The prince and the lord continue their zombie killing with gusto, this time Jaymes doing the most damage. The zombies, however, pull two guards into their midst and tear them to pieces. More zombies die, and Amelia alone, unable to fight, notices the room is slowly lighting with a sickly green light, subtle but soon undeniably present.

With everyone else intent on the fight and the door wide open (leaking weird green light) Amelia attempts to enter the room that has been opened to see what the fuck was in there.

Amelia dodges and zombies and such, and she is able to slip past everyone into the room. The light grows brighter as she walks. After fifteen feet is a left turn, where she sees the source of the pulsing. A circular room is circled by corpses, piled four or five high in a thirty foot star shape. There must be a hundred bodies. Melted swords are seen on the floor, and in the center of the star, seated on a pile of bodies, is Malryas Bolton. His brother, who Amelia hasn't seen in well over seven or eight years, stands next to him. Elias turns to Amelia with a grim look. "You shouldn't have come, Royce. It is almost over now."

John is surprised when his sword is torn from his hand from the strange being he was fighting. Wait, why the past tense for fighting? He is more surprised when two more of them pile onto him. He is even more surprised when they start tearing at his hands, and then the arms, and... wait a minute, are they eating him? He screams (dramatically, such a drama queen) as the zombies feast upon him. He claws at them, but they are stronger than he ever was and the world starts fading into black... OH OLD GODS NO THAT WAS HIS LIVER, OW, he's back, not black anymore, the pain, he screams some more and see's his gallant prince fighting through the crowd toward him, majestically swinging that sword as he always did, it would all be okay, but things were going bad, it feels like he's falling asleep, his only regret was not seducing Prince Benjen, gently fall asleep now.... THAT WAS A PINCH, on his deltoid, with their teeth, pain, so much pain, not sleeping yet, could not feel his legs, was that his heart he could see? Dead.

Round 3:
Benjen: 174 Danya: 99 Jaymes: 161 Soldiers (-10): 91 average ZOMBIES (-15): 141 average
Danya is collapsed on by three of the mindless creatures, and only Benjen and Jayme's most vicious cuts save her from death. Most of their men are now fallen before the onslaught, but only nine or ten zombies remain. With their three remaining guards the two young lords face the final rush...
