"I am sure Amelia will be able to tell you more about those," Benjen responded, annoyed by the humourous tone Nicholas Snow was taking. "What can you tell me of the attack on Joanna Lannister?"

"I was there for the aftermath," he said. "I got her back to the castle safely. She walked a half a mile on that leg before I found her." He says this quietly, only the prince and maybe Lord Jaymes in audible range. "She's a strong one."

"Evidently," Benjen replied, deciding not to add anything more. "Nicholas, given your past I am not entirely sure I can trust you, so do forgive me if I order the guards to keep a close eye on you. We will discuss certain... past issues when we return to Riverrun."

"I'd be disappointed if you did anything less." He looks to the guards. "Best keep Amelia and that assassin on me too. I can shadowbind out of most of these commoner's vision. You'll need that lovely lady's firesight to keep up with it. And maybe your beautiful killer's crossbow." He shrugs. "Anyway, I'm off to bed."

"We all should be," Benjen responded, nodding for everyone to depart to their rooms, guards positions etc. He then turned and walked out of a tavern to see if he could find Robyn.

Robyn was sat outside, looking into the darkness of the night, which was about half as black as her expression.

Benjen walked up to her to look into the darkness as well. "I wonder what else father has been hiding for all these years," He said after a moment.

"I wonder what you have, also," She replied, her tone fizzing with acid as she spoke back to him.

Benjen cringed a little, unable to fault his sister for the comment. "Little more than the knowledge that Nicholas Snow was our brother. I worried about how and when to tell you, and the others. Frankly, it should have been father."
He was bitter himself about that though he felt blaming Terrence didn't solve anything.

"Little more?" She said, and finally looked round to him, "Little more? You have been lying to me, father for even longer... That I have a brother... another brother, and you spring it on me now, here, in the middle of fucking no where, when we are supposed to be focusing on something else? Do you not think it is something I should know? Something I deserved to know? Father or not, when you found out, you should have told all of us. You and he go on about how we are family and how important it is and how we work together, and then you hide this? How can we do any of those things if I can't trust you?"

Benjen took a moment to come up with the right words. "You're right, I should have told you earlier. To be fair, I did not expect to see you joining us on this quest, or whatever it is." He frowned. "That doesn't excuse anything, I know, and I'm sorry. There have been too many things on my mind of late but I've been guilty of acting like the lone wolf."

"Sorry? Such a convenient word to help make everything go away." Robyn said, shaking her head, "You think having a lot of troubles is any excuse? There is none? Four words. In all the time we have travelled together recently, just four words, and you expect me to believe that you were ever going to? When it has had to be forced out of you now because this person who claims to be him comes along? How do you even know that is him?"

"I don't trust him one bit, which is why I am having everyone keep an eye on him," Benjen responded, a little riled. "And don't accuse me of thinking all this will go away. I know it won't, I'm not an idiot. But some things we'll just have to live with." He turned and went back into the tavern.

"Yeah, walk away" Robyn yelled after him, like he did in all of the conversations they had that were not going his way. Robyn stayed outside until her hands went numb, then stayed for a while longer, until she re entered the tavern too.

When Benjen re-entered the tavern, Jaymes raised a quizzical eyebrow at him. "Mind telling me what all this was about?" he inquired.
