"No, my lady. Just that they are going to be dangerous. I hope your men here are up to a stiff fight. But we'll be thankful for the salvation, we will."
//
Nicholas rolls his eyes. "Please, no threats, I was raised by Cassadar instead of my real father, Prince, be a Stark and just kill me if you want," slight emphasis on the last word. "You already tried to kill me. Your assassin lived to tell the tale." He leaned in. "Someone far more dangerous than me is behind this. Far more deadly. Far more magically talented. With far more resources."

"What do I get for not telling her?" She asked, channeling the spirit of a long forgotten knight, who was famed for only being out for himself. After a pause, she smiled 'She will not heard it from me, my lord." "Ah, excellent," said Jaymes, returning the smile. "Well, you know what they say about us.. Gold River peopl and debts."

"We are prepared to face whatever they can throw at us," She told the man with a smile before walking off to drink her wine. "Who?" Benjen asked, before raising his hand. "Don't tell me just yet." He walked over to Robyn and spoke up quietly. "Sister, there is someone you should meet," He said, motioning her over towards Jared. "It seems our friend here is not who he says he is."

Robyn looked over at her brother as he called for her, thinking she was more the dog than Joanna right now, and smiled apologetically at Lord Jaymes, "Forgive me, my lord, it seems my brother has need of me. To be continued."
With that she walked over to the table her brother was sat and and looked round at Ser Jared. "Oh, how so?"

"This man is not Jared Fossoway," Benjen explained, nodding at the man. "He's Nicholas Snow. Our brother."

Nick turns his eyes to Robyn a second, seeming a bit bored. "You'd like the real Jared much less," he said. "The Reachmen were happy I killed that raping thug."

"We don't have another brother, Benjen, except Hector." Robyn said, shaking her head, and looking at Jared, not yet noticing the missing eyepatch from her side angle. She looked as if she thought this was a joke.

Benjen looked to his sister with an apologetic smile. "Father spoke to me a while back, Robyn... I am sorry I haven't mentioned anything yet, but yes, we have an older brother."
He looked at Nicholas. "Who has a lot of explaining to do. Who's behind this?"

"An older brother... and no one ever thought to mention to this to me?" She said, angry not being the word, "And even if we do, how do we know this is it?" She asked motioning at Jared but not looking at him.

"I suspect the Faith, but it could be Lord Bryce," he said. "Most of my agents are dead. Mostly because of you, but still. Bygones are bygones and all that." He turns to Robyn. "I know you found the one eye thing exotic, but regrettably I'll only be teaching you sword fighting with actual steel, my princess," he says, looking serious.

"I haven't known for long, sister, and I didn't want to believe it either," Benjen said, looking from Robyn to Nicholas. "Father told me, not long ago. And don't expect an apology, Nicholas. Now, how are you willing to help?"

He tapped the hilt of his sword. "Steel and magic, my dear brother. No one knows your Master of Whisperers Five better than I do, and if they have a hand in this I will be able to tell without any doubt."

At the 'dear brother' part robyn scoffed, and left the tavern for some fresh air.

Benjen felt bad for his sister, thinking he should have been more open with her. He nodded, thinking on it for a moment. "Speak with Amelia about any magical things; she studied with Oriax of the Shadow. No doubt he is known to you. Danya told me about some sort of weapon you were crafting. Is that it?" He nodded at Nicholas' sword.

"Of course not." He looks annoyed, not at the question but his unfortunate explanation. "It's very...obvious looking. My skills at manipulating Valyrian steel were not honed to perfection. And I'd die before that sword gets in Bolton's grimy hands." He chuckles. "And Oriax's perversions are quite the talk among those of us on the fringe of society."
