Benjen and co join King Terence in his solar. He had made sure to wait for Cassana to heal from her heaviest wounds before marching north and thus introduced her.
"Father, this is Princess Cassana Targaryen."

Cassana is still hurt, but she smiles prettily at the king, who rises and kisses her hand. "Princess," he said, "welcome to our fair city. The help of House Targaryen will not be forgotten." He looks to Benjen. "You certainly know how to impress the beautiful ones, my son. I knew you learned something from me."

Robyn had joined them, as requested, dying of second hand embarrassment at her father, made real in rolling her eyes. "As you will no doubt have heard, father, Cassana's generous aid was decisive in the battle."

Benjen laughed slightly awkwardly, not sure what he should say to that. "It seems so, yes... how is Eddard's Rest? It doesn't feel quite real that the fighting is over. The past year has been moving from one battle to the next." He shook his head.

Cassana is a bit more amused than the siblings. "Not so much help, your grace. Your armies did the fighting and dying, and I mostly just needed rescuing. Not to mention my dragon almost ate your best warriors," she says with an embarrassed voice. Terrence shakes his head.
"Never mind that. What is important is the present and the future. Bryce Dayne is dead and the realm is slowly coming back together. Much good has been done, and peace should be the rule for the near future. We are rebuilding as we can, but the end to the expense of maintaining our armies should free up the resources we need to regain our strength." He looks to Robyn. "And you have become quite the legend, my dear. Songs are sung of you by every street bard in the North." His servant pours wine for everyone. "The question looking over us now, of course, is what comes next."

"The iron born?" Robyn asked, remembering what Kalvin had told her, it seemed like just seconds before.

Terrence nods slowly. "Eventually, I'm sure, if we look for war." He frowns. "They burned Karhold and Bear Island to the ground. Seagard is in disarray, and Lord Manderly is on the wrong side of the Narrow Sea, with all the Free Cities mobilized. But for now let's celebrate. We can discuss the problems to come later. We have may to reward for bravery, after all."

Robyn blinked like someone had just shined a very bright light in them. Had he not just broached the subject of what to do next, just to immediately dismiss her when she mentioned it? This family... "Yes celebrating is no doubt more than welcome, we have more cause now than in s long time."

Ser Dudley Mudd was in attendance at the meeting. Moving still pained him with his injuries. It was very surreal even being at a meeting with all of the nobility around him. Though with the void left from the losses in battle Dud supposes they needed someone to come to these.

Terrence nods. "Show your new betrothed to her quarters, son," he said. "Robyn, my dear, we have some things to discuss after this when yo uget a minute."

"Father, you did just suggest we discuss what comes next and I do agree with my sister that the Ironborn are a threat," Benjen said, confused as to his father's odd change of heart. "I want a few of our men to go north and help rebuild Karhold - perhaps the giants can be drafted into helping as well. We need a fleet as well, a strong one, and on both shores."

Terrence moves his eyes about the room, indicating that perhaps a few people were present who didn't need to hear the particulars of his plans. "Karhold will be rebuilt of course. As for the fleet, well, that is going to be a process. I meant more our plans in the immediate future." He looked about. "Bandits ravage the lands and Captain Swiftriver's men are hard pressed to hold order with so many gone, and so much poverty from the ravages of war. We need men to patrol the villages, restore order, and begin restoring contiuity to our finances because this war has left the royal treasury nearly as poorly off as any of our lords." He nodded to Benjen. "And Pentos aligning against us has made coastal security a high priority, yes."

//////////////// The day after the celebration, Dud's head was pounding from the drinks he had with the Prince and Princess. The night was hazy but one thing he did remember was Prince Benjen and Princess Robyn congratulating Dud on become the new lord of Seagard. Dud requested a meeting with the Royal family the next day to see if it was just the drink or if it was true.

The king is on his throne and greets the knight. "You are the man I've heard so much about, then," he says. "Tales of your valor are echoing across the realm." He looks him over. "And we have lost far too many of our heroes."
