"Then I wouldn't like to be a Bolton right now," Amelia commented dryly as she sipped from her wine. "If those men made it out of Sothoryos then they are dangerous indeed. Though I wonder what they are doing on Dragonstone."

"Hunting, I suspect," he said. "Or accepting money and transport to do something they would have happily done for free. Good." He thinks a moment. "Moving on. We are formally investing you as Lady of Gulltown, on the condition you find yourself a husband." He shakes a finger. "Any talk of Ironborn and we'll pretend your given name is Grafton," he jokes.

"A husband, hmmm?" Amelia asked with a titter. "It seems I still haven't been able to find a good suitor. The last man who came to me was your natural son in magical disguise," She tutted. "I am willing to marry if it will win us a friend."

"He would have worked," Terrence mutters. "I am open to your suggestions. Whatever do you seek? I do not believe those wretched rumors of your...activities."

"Activities? Me? Never," Amelia responded, waving a dainty hand in dismissal. "I do not know who the, well, eligible bachelors of the various alliances you are seeking out are, however I do know that Gulltown and Braavos are fairly close. Having a connection to the city may not be bad."

"We'll find one," he said, apparently having a blank. "But the fact remains. Is my son going to be all right?"

"Benjen? I think so," Amelia responded. "I've not been as close to him in the last year as I was before but so far he has always been alright. After a while."

"Hm," he says. "He wants to go past the Wall to find soldiers." His finger taps. "It makes me nervous. That fucking sorcerer is stil up there, somewhere. Oriax," he spits.

"He is," Amelia responded, having pushed away thoughts of the man for a while. She sighed and brushed some ash from the fire off her dress. "If you wish then I will go with him, to protect him from any magical enemies they might encounter."

"No," he finally said. "King Bryce is still the primary threat. Head south and join Lord Kalvin. You know him fairly well, right? We must not let him use his sorcery without warning, at least."

"Of course, your Grace," Amelia responded, finishing her wine. "If Bryce Dayne decides to aim his full magical might at us I will be unable to stop him, but anything would take Dayne a while to prepare. I would sense that, at least."

"Exactly. So the surprise is missing, at least." He rises chuckles, taking a light sword off his wall. "I should properly appoint you, Lady Amelia Royce of Gulltown, kneel."

Amelia smiles and rises lithely, going to her knees before the king.

He taps her on each shoulder. "Rise, my lady," he says. "Don't you feel all ruler-like now?"

Amelia rises with a small flourish. "I feel like a woman reborn," She told the king with a giggle. "Though honestly, I feel no difference."
