"Likely about as much as I favour him," she said, with a tone of regret, she did like kalvin, maybe even love him, she had offered up her Maidenhead to him with no talk of marriage or anything, "he said he'd speak to father when the war was done... But something more important came up,"

Janelle nodded. "I did hear of a letter, now," she said. "But a good father never gets over the mother of his son, for the big things at least," she finished. "I'd find it more suspicious if he would have let the Citadel trample over those Hightowers."

"I did say it was important," Robyn said a bit shortly, "I am not prepared to spend my life coming second to Arania Hightower,"

Janelle nodded pleasantly. "I understand. Perhaps he needs a chat with reality."

"Yes, well enough about him" Robyn said, sounding a bit jaded, "Of the others, I do not have much of an opinion, as you rightly said, I have seen of them what they want me to. Lord Walter is very brave, he was incredibly gallant when we battled Dayne, Ser Mychel seems very good, easy to talk to. King Aaron would make the most sense politically, being the king of the only realm we do not have marriage ties to." it was her turn to shrug now, "So I think I do need to find out more about them. I would also need to know if they would expect me to drastically change myself for them, be a proper wife, running their castle, barely leaving it. It is important to me that he respects who I am."

"They may find you worth dealing with your own way of things," the queen agreed. "There are perks to having a king for a father, after all." She smiled. "So many adventures you've had. My own daughter scaled the Eyrie itself."

"And I hope to have many more." Robyn said with a grin, "Did you not want to break out of your proscribed life when you were younger?"

"I did," she said. "Your father does not rule this kingdom alone, much as many think he does." She looks at a flower. "Whispers are weapons just like your bow, my dear."

"Yes well, I have never really been interested in whispers, much like you've never been interested in bows," Robyn replied, looking at the flower too, as if it held some kind of an answer. "I'm not going north now, father will no doubt be glad to hear. Nick bailed at the last moment."

"The red drug," Janelle muttered. "It has killed dozens already. Maybe he can help. More likely he will try sleeping with Amelia Royce and botching the whole thing."

"The red drug?" She asked, frowning then looking at her mother, "That is not very kind, mother."

"I don't care much for kindness outside family," she said. "It is hard to deny his behavior is rather erratic." She shakes her head. "Some new fldrug appeared a few months ago. Lately though, something changed on it. Been getting extremely deadly. Hard to get reliable witnesses to it."

Robyn wanted to say that Nick was part of her family, but her mother was allowed to not like him, after all, a son of her fathers she did not bear, it would be difficult to like him.
"Appeared where? In the north?" She asked looking at the flower again, why did her mother have it... or was this not it.

"Everywhere," she said. "I suspect that traitorous Bolton had something to do with it, but now it is hard to say. It has even hit the Iron Islands and Oldtown, I hear."

"Given that oldtown is a main port, that is not particularly surprising." robyn said, and sighed, "Do you want me to look into it, I can do things not with a bow and sword. I can be discreet, you know. See where it comes from?"
