Richard is just toying with the giant now, and he slashes him again. His men are encouraged at seeing their lord triumphing over such a formidable foe.

Lars uses his dual short blades to get a jump on the rebel lord, slashing him brutally with his right arm while his left arm tangles up Grafton's shield.

Lars falls back, but Lord Richard, seeming unstoppable, shield slams him into one of his own men and knocks a tooth out.

Richard uses his superior size to force the northman into continued disadvantageous spots and the scout's old injuries, smacking him in the shoulder with the pommel of his blade, bruising the area a deep purple.

Lars suddenly recovers and trips the heavier lord, and uses one of his daggers to drive it all the way through the base of his hip joint. Lord Grafton screams in pain as his men fight on.

Richard uses Lars's understandable but premature rush of elation to swing a plate gauntlet at his head, smashing him backwards. He regains his feet and steadily advances. Adrenaline alone keeps each man on their feet.

Somehow, the Vale lord kills another northern champion, ramming his sword into the man's belly, then punching him in the face until there is nothing to recognize. Around them his army begins to break, and Lord Richard's knights carry him off to fight another day.
