"An adept must know his place. Jeddicus will in time." he said with a theatric sigh and small bow of his head. "I would be honored for any advice you could provide for my journey North. My knowledge regarding the lore of the Others is lacking and I am sure there is far more a member of the council such as yourself could teach me. I have little to offer in exchange besides service and my...companionship for the evening. I have a surplus of cattle that may prove for some passing entertainment."

"Sounds amusing. I am eager to see what you've been up to," she said.

"Excellent." he replied, leading her to his camp by the barrows. He had his troupe of mindless mummers line up, as if for some bizarre inspection, before performing whatever ridiculous action struck his fancy.

Delana is silent the whole time. "Very creative, Lord Oriax," she said. "your progress will be a matter of great satisfaction to the Council. Why not see if they can fight?"

Oriax commanded that two of the men step forward from the line and fight to the death.

A most hilarious fight ensues. Neither zombie seems capable of understanding that they fight each other, so they punch themselves in the face repeatedly until they fall unconscious. Delana chuckles.

"As you can see, it is not yet an exact science." he explained, taking some enjoyment of the spectacle and the company one one not too small minded to appreciate it.

"I suspect you'll get better." As they talk, snow begins falling. "Damn this weather. When I return to Asshai I shall never come half so far north again," Delana looks up as the blizzard begins.

"The cold I can handle." he sent one of Nyles' henchmen to fetch a heavy fur for Delana. "It was the summer sun I could not stand. After becoming accustomed to the constant shade of life in the Shadow, it took me weeks to manage sight alone."

Delana reaches between her legs a moment and then pulls her hand out and blows it, like blowing a kiss. The snow gathers around the servant and freezes him nearly solid even as he tries to walk. "I was expressing distaste, not discomfort," she said.

Oriax watches with interest as the sorceress reaches into her robes, uncertain of her intentions, whether it be challenge or invitation. Either way, he was intrigued.
"Apologies for the presumption, councilor." he replied, inspecting the frozen man with an eye. It would be one less man that he'd have to fit on the ship. "You may find my tent more to your tastes."

She looks back to him. "There is work to be done, Lord Oriax. I do not breed outside the Shadow's cloak."

"Now it is you who presumes, that I speak of breeding." he replied, a razor smile beneath his mask. "We draw out power from blood and I do my best work when my blood runs hot. It would offer a far more entertaining diversion than my cattle."

"One day, perhaps. I lost interest in the act decades ago." As she speaks, Oriax can see a foggy-looking form approaching, slowly, unhurriedly. It glows with a sickly green light. The immature form of a Daesh, he believes.

"A shame." he said with a shrug, eyes turning to the strange creature approaching. It was certainly an odd night in Barrowton. "Especially as it seems my days are numbered."
