[Kurts]

Oriax takes a seat next to him and sets down a small pouch of gold coins on the bar.

"I've decided to take you up on your offer." he said simply. "I'll need the aid of your ship to recover the lost tome, then passage to Kings Landing. From there, we'll resupply and set sail for Dorne."

[Lord Rykker]

Uhtred looks down at the small purse and wrinkles his nose. He opens the bag and starts stacking the coins. "For a ship this would be fine." He says "I'm offering the services of my Titans though. We're eleven ships now, just under a thousand men. Do you want a little muscle behind this journey of yours? Or is it of more... clandestine nature? One ship would work then, my boys can be kept busy with this rebuilding of the city. there'll be plenty of work for ships moving supplies up and down the river." He looks over at the man and takes a sip of his drink "How many men does this trip warrant?"

[Kurts]

"I just require just the one ship, captain, and it's crew." Oriax said evenly. "I am not a man that likes attention drawn to himself. You'll receive more coin once I reach Kings Landing safely, on top of funds for whatever supplies we require for the coming journey."

[Lord Rykker]

"Fair enough" He sips the drink again. "You the only passenger, or there going to be others we're taking on as well? And anything I need to know about what we're going to be doing on this journey?" Uhtred asks.

[Kurts]

"I'll likely take on a few more blades for the journey." he answered. "The journey will take us from Kings Landing to Sunspear, from which we'll travel by land to Starfall. The extra blades may prove useful in the mountain passes."

[The Eagle]

"Or a few extra arrows." Jory slid up beside The Sorcerer. "So you're the wizard, eh? You look... wizardy. I hear you're in the business of saving the world." He grinned.

[Kurts]

"Nothing so trite, I assure you." Oriax replied. "Your bow would be most welcome."

[The Eagle]

"Trite. Fancy word. Guess you really are a Sorcerer." He spun a knife in between his fingers, his eyes still fixed on Oriax. "So, Starfall. I assume we're going to be fighting Lord Dayne. The Sword Of Mourning. Don't hear many good things about that one." His expression brightened. "This should be fun."

[Kurts]

"My mission in Westeros is not combative in nature, but scholarly and diplomatic." he said, shaking his head. "Lord Dayne must be confronted, but if bloodshed can be avoided it will be. Your task is to see me safely through the Dornish desert and pass. Nothing more, unless it is asked. I mean to remind him that he does not just threaten the Westerosi with his dangerous rituals, but the world."

[The Eagle]

Jory laughed. "Big Fancy Sorcerer that killed a goddess, and you're still as naive as a child. You think that someone like him will listen to calm and reasonable discourse?" He snorted. "It matters little. You're the employer. For your sake and mine though, I hope you change your mind about your plan of action."

[Kurts]

"Patronize me again and I'll find a better use for your wagging tongue, sellsword." Oriax said coldly. "I am no fool, so have some faith. Westeros might not respect the power of Asshai, but another sorcerer would be a fool not to heed its counsel. He will be brought to heel."

[Raven Umber]

She leaned against the door listening to the men talk. Raven had to get to know her new comrades, if they are to travel on extended journeys together.

[Kurts]

"Come join us, my dear." Oriax said, revealign a crocodile's smile. "You've made the cut as well, if only by the skin of your teeth. You shall have the travel you so desire and a chance to prove you are worth more than your bastard name."

[Raven Umber]

She smirked at his condecending jab and walked over to take a seat among them.

"I thank you for the opportunity to see more than this backwater continent."

[Kurts]

"It will be some time before we are done here, but I am as eager as you to see its shores shrink in the horizon." Oriax replied.
