Round 2:
Raven: 89 Uhtred: 146
Uhtred isn't fooled by any dual wielding tricks, having fought many proponents of the style n Braavos, and uses his reach to hang back and punish the woman with strikes until she slips on the ice and his ax levels at her throat before she can scramble out.

"Let her up, Farwynd," Nyles says with a chuckle. "Looks like a good thing I didn't bother joining."

"Ach there's a fire in me that's all. That was good drink back there." He squinted down at the younger man laid out cold on the ground "You going to be alright? You did a number on him lassie."

Jory blinked, and he was back on the ship, tied to a chair. He heard a door creak. You can wash blood off, but scars stay forever. Jory cried out. "NO!" His eyes snapped open. He was lying on the ground of the training yard. His head hurt. "I'm alright."

Raven nodded, taking her helm off,"I am fine....." She then smirked, her breath like smoke on the air as she looked at the downed man. "I have not fought like that in a while. I needed the exercise."

Slinging his axe to his back, he offered his hands for both of them to get off the ground. "Going to lie there all day?"

Jory coughed, feeling some of his scabs break. "This ice is rather comfortable, don't you think?" He took The Ironborn's hand.

Uhtred picked the man up, setting him on his feet. "Now what'd you say your name was again lad? Usually I like to know a man before I trust him with my back."

"Practice?" he says. "You lost. That was an audition."

Raven sheathed her swords, watching the men. The goosebumps from the cold were all over her the back of her neck.
Audition.... He was supposed to have sparred with me in the first place...Men, he wouldn't have let me go, even if I had won. Typical....
She looked at him, her mouth drawn into a frown,"Then since I lost, I guess I should be on my way then?" Raven nodded at the men she fought with,"Good fight gentlemen, enjoy your travels."

Jory laughed. "You trusted me with your boot well enough. Names are dangerous things, but you may call me The Eagle." He turned to Nyles. "You still hiring?"

Nyles shakes his head. "I'm not the one paying. I had no idea I was even in charge of finding more swords. I don't even know what the job is. I haven't even negotiated my own continued rate with my employer. Is the one who WON the fight the only one not looking for work? ...that makes sense, actually." He chuckles. "I won't say no to anyone; dying is your own choice. I will recommend Oriax don't pay you too much."

Jory smiled. "My expertise is not in the brutal melee of swordfighting, or even knife duels. It is in my skill with the bow. I can hit an apple with a poisoned arrow from hundreds of paces away." He chuckled. "Not that apples are susceptible to The Tears of Lys."
