About six miles by road, Paramount Rock is a vista overlooking the great lake and the island, and also the city of Eddard's Rest. It is a popular getaway for the royal family, and a staging ground for hunts into the wooded western parts of the God's Eye.
(post here when done in the Arania's room thread).

The ladies arrive to Paramount Rock, three hundred feet tall, and a gorgeous vista awaits; trees and rivers one way, and the blue waters of the God's Eye to the south. In the far distance, they see the Isle of Faces. Catherine grins. "Lovely, here."

"Yes, it is," agreed Arania, looking out over the landscape. She could see for miles, something she had missed since leaving home. "Do you ride out here often? It's breathtaking!"

"I do...but..what is that?" From the distance they see a massive beam of light lance into some green lights in the sky. "Oh...Benny...no." Catherine pales.

Arania's heart leapt into her throat. "Do you think...?" She couldn't finish her question. Her eyes were focused on the light and the island from which it emanated. It burned into her retinas before she remembered to close her eyes and look away.

The great rock shakes as it seems every part of the shoreline cracks...an immense wave, seventy feet high, emanating from every visible part of the lake, suddenly rises and speeds towards the island. "What in the gods' name..."

There were tears in Arania's eyes as she watched the waves, assuming the absolute worst. "What do we do, now?" She held the reins tightly, her knuckles white as she gripped them.

As it hits the island...a massive blast heads into the waters, and suddenly the massive wave is expanding back out...faster than the speed of sound. In under a minute, it smashes into the walls and town of Eddard's Rest, as well as the villages bordering the lake. Frothy water climbs even halfway up the great rock before it subsides...

Arania watched in horror as the wave consumed Eddards Rest. I guess I'll never finish that book, she thought, unable to reconcile what was happening in front of her with reality. Such destruction...she thanked the gods for sparing her, but what was she to do now?

Everyone is speechless. Delila bursts into tears, and Ellaria just stares, mouth wide open.

Arania looked at the other women as if remembering their presence for the first time. It was their home, and they had just watched it disappear under a wrecking ball of a wave. She could think of nothing to say to them.

A pink mist heads to the rock, at blinding speed, and before anyone can move, one of the guards kills two of his comrades. Catherine pushes Delila and Meera out of the way. "Gerald! Get him!" She raises a crossbow.

Arania tugged her blade out, the very one that the Faceless Man had plunged into the Sealord's heart. She held it awkwardly in front of her, eyes flicking from person to person, trying to figure out what was happening.

The guard quickly kills the other two, and Gerlad Bolton gets between the ladies and the madman...now glowing pink. "What in the hells...?" He shrugs and attacks...

Catherine's crossbow: 122 (-10)
Catherine's bolt strikes the guard in the arm, but he shrugs though it and Gerald curses and advances...
