Ami came back from her rooms the next day and looked around for Meadows, Danya standing behind her. The two also looked around to see who else attended this place.

Apparently Westerosi food is popular in Ghis, as the tavern is packed full of people for the lunch rush. Meadows is tending bar, not a third as busy as his workers, naturally, but keeping an eye on everything.

Ami smiled and approached the bar. "So, when can we go out for a little stroll? Oh, and do you know if Lyria is going to visit today?"

"She comes when she wants. I don't honestly know where she lives. You have to wait for the lunch rush to subside; too much money to make right now. Have some food and we'll go in an hour or so."

"Understood," Amelia said, ordering some food for her and Danya and eating it, waiting after for the inn to clear out a little.

When it clears a bit, Meadows walks over. "Well, then, let's be off."

"Yay!" Ami said, following the man outside. "So, I will need dresses and all of the things the ladies have here!"

"I hope you have gold," he muttered. He leads them down the narrow, twisty streets to an open market, only a half mile or so from the giant palace. The palace is clearly built with an eye towards martial prowess, as are the triple walls of the city. The market is lined with foods, tailors, and jewelers from all the world. The majority are Volantene, Mantaryene, or from the south or east, though.

"All of this looks wonderful!" Ami said, finding mostly Mataryene clothes she could afford, as well as some jewels. "So what should I be doing with my hair exactly?"

"Wax it into horns, I guess," he laughed. "Personally I think it looks better as is. I'm not even sure the Ghiscari would find the imitation a form of flattery...though appealing to their vanity is never a bad idea. They long to return to their storied empire of old."

"Then I will do my best to look as Ghiscari as possible," Ami said with a wide grin. "So what are the rulers of this place like? The palace looks pretty enough!"

"The Hegemon? He's...well, he's something of a tyrant. Much harder than the Targaryens. But...I don't know, they are concluding some sort of peace treaty."

"Does he have any family?" Ami asked, curious. "I visited the Targaryens and there were... quite a few of them." She held a dress against her and smiled.

"He's...fifty-four? I think he has three sons and two daughters. A few grandchildren, of course. The royal family isn't as extensive as the dragons, but they're much more closely tied to the nobles by blood."

"Hmmm... I would be interested in meeting them, but I guess we would not understand each other." Ami had bought all she wanted. "Oh well; hopefully Lyria and I will meet!"
