"Oooooh, as much of that as our meager money can buy," Ami said, which prompted Danya to lean on the bar. "If you need a helping hand then I will offer myself. Protection... waiting..."

"Protection? Waiting tables?" he asks. "Not doubting a noblewoman's word, but these aren't things I expect to hear from ladies as highborn as yourselves."

Danya grinned as she pulled out two hidden daggers, spun them in her hands before letting them vanish again.
"Danya is not what I would call a lady," Ami huffed, rolling her eyes. "But she does have her uses. I myself do not intend to do any work unless... well, maybe in the kitchens." Danya snorted.

"You should use a better sheath for those; they bulge a bit at the sides," he comments. "You cook, my lady Amelia?"

Danya raised a challenging eyebrow but smiled as well.
"Cook? Yes, I used to spend quite some time in the kitchens back home and one of my aunts rather enjoyed it, so she showed me how to do some things." Also, nibbles!

He nods. "Well...I'd be hanged if I had Lord Royce's daughter cook for me, my father wasn't quite that important. and if my associate in the North's protege got hurt on my watch, well...gods alone know what trouble he'd cause me."

Ami chuckled. "Well, do you know of any kind of work a girl as highborn as myself could do and not have her reputation ruined?" She winked.

"Well, your friend could probably find work in this city...it's notorious for its danger. For you, well, do you have a head for figures?"

"Figures? I guess so, never had a problem with them," Amelia replied, chuckling. "Oh, a last question... do you perchance know a woman named Lyria?"

"Lyria? Oh yes. She comes in now and again. I assume you mean the half dragon." He chuckles. "I definitely know her."

"Oh, really? Well I would love to make her acquaintance," Amelia said happily. "What is she like, if you permit me to ask?"

"Well...she's very odd. But friendly enough." He grins a bit at that.

"Very good!" Ami said, nodding. "Now, I think my friend and I will take a look at that room and perhaps have a rest from our journey."

"Sounds like a plan. If there's anything I can help you with...well, I can always have you sign a receipt and bill your fathers," he chuckles.

Amelia gave a delighted laugh at that. "Maybe that will become necessary," She said, leaving the room.
