Lord Tully's private solar is a large circular room at the top of Riverrun's tallest tower. Expensive panes of slightly curved glass fit into four large windows, one facing north, south, east, and west each. There is a large desk of mahogany which sits so that the person behind it faces the door with their back at the northeast wall.

Robyn, not usually one for taking a back seat, enters behind Benjen, looking mostly at the floor, having the feeling children get when they are fairly certain their parents are angry at them. She also wanted to hide the bruise if she could.

Terrence is sitting in a chair overlooking the south. Behind him is the silent guard Gerald Bolton. The king looks at his spawn angrily. "I'll spare telling the damned story of why you three are here. I suspect you already know...Robyn," he says, glaring at her. "Lord Bryce has your sister captive and you decide that starting a fight with their envoys is the way to get her freed? You think Bryce Dayne doesn't want an excuse to skin her alive and send us her gods-damned bones when they're through with her!? Think!" He seldom yells, but he is yelling now. "One of those fucking Daynes is in the infirmary being stitched up because someone drove a goddam dagger through his palm. The whoreson may deserve it but for gods' sake, they have MY DAUGHTER!" He finishes. "My eldest daughter." He falls back in his chair and suddenly looks old as the energy drains from him. "And we may never see her again."

Benjen didn't know what to say, had no words that could help. He looked at his father and felt a deep sadness when he saw his energy seep from him so quickly. With nothing to say he waited for someone else to speak up.

"Will not attacking their envoys free her?" Robyn asked, "What exactly will it do for her? crawling on our knees to them?" She wanted to ask if he thought ships could be spared to bring her home now, but held her tongue on that acount. She looked to Benjen, "Everything I have heard about Dayne doesn't make me think he cares at all about what we will do. He will do what he wants because now especially we can't touch him. If I am wrong, please tell me, and I will go and make a thousand apologies to those bastards,"

"We could at least hear their gods-damned terms before we kill them!" Terrence yells again. He kicks the heavy chair he sits in. "Lord Bryce isn''t some god. He has no reason to kill or harm Meera while we are strong. He cannot fight everyone." He looks to his children. "We will kill Bryce Dayne. We will not laeave our family to die. Remember your grandfather's words. Where the lone wolf dies, the pack survives. We do not leave lone wolves." He looks to Benjen. "Send our deepest apologies to the men and come up with something that sounds good. I couldn't care less what it is. Robyn..." he loses his ability to speak a second, incandescent with rage, "stop trying to fucking kill everybody."
After a moment he breathes out. "On second thought, go with your brother. You have one thousand apologies." He holds up a finger. "This is for your sister. End of discussion. Get out."

Benjen cleared his throat, clearly uncomfortable. It took him a moment to steel himself. "I will speak to the man, father, but there is something else that complicates the Dayne issue." He took a deep breath and continued.
"I was speaking with Ellaria Dayne, for perhaps the last time. While it seems we have a common enemy, Ellaria decided to deal with it in a way I did not approve of." He looked straight at his father. "I believe she will seek to marry Vhagus Blackfyre and ask him to destroy Bryce Dayne."

"You won't ev-" She started and shook her head. Knowing he wouldn't listen to the fact they attacked her first, antagonised her first.
"The first thing I will suggest to them is a swap, that will make you happy, your grace," She shot back, acid dripping from every word, and left slamming the door behind her.

"Let her. Vhagus won't come to Westeros, not with Volantis and the Targaryens standing against him still." Terrence shrugs. "It's a fool's quest, made in a woman's desperation. I feel bad for the girl, I do. But, lest you forget what we literally just discussed, we have more immediate issues on our plate. Deal with that, then we can talk about Ellaria Dayne," he spits the last name out.

"As you say, father," Benjen responded. "I will go speak to the men now." He suppressed a scowl, chiding his sister in his head before leaving.

She is shown in. Terrence and Queen Janelle are relaxing. "Yes, Robyn?" her father asks. He is calm.

"Elias Bolton gave me a letter from Meera" she said, putting it on the table in front of them. She did not look at her mother, could not, in case she blamed her also.

"From who?" Terrence snatches it. "Where did you get this from?" He scans it. "She's alive, my queen, and well, she says." Janelle smiles just a tad. "Who gave this to you?"
