Rowan shakes their head. 'Bar hem' motions to the pirate. 'Weh were all slaved.. they be pirates or slavers most like. An know out about islands and fancy places with no snow but ah do know how to kill and ah do know the rough side oh life. If nought else ah dont fancy being raped. An heavy arms means trouble or expecting.. not fluffeh bunnehs and lullabies. Ya want meh to protect ya holes or ya want to go hope they dont tip ya over a log and have ya three at a time?'

Abigail was going to respond but stopped herself, not really having understood half of what Rowan had said. She looked around at the people readying their weapons and sat back down with a worried expression.

Rowan gives her an encouraging smile 'Good choice.' Their eyes go back to waiting and watching.

Leona had been quiet for a while, brooding on her rapidly worsening fortunes. She wasn't sure whether being a nominally free woman trapped in a strange land was better or worse than being a slave. She gripped her blade, hoping she wouldn't have to use it.

After long minutes the trio are on the beach, the bowman scanning the trees while the spearmen look at the beach. They notice the ship wreckage and head over to it to try scavenging any supplies the survivors had overlooked. In the distance the survivors see the waves making a strange separating pattern as something almost unimaginably large breeches the surface about a mile out to sea, the giant wyrm from earlier chomping on a shark or fish that must be twenty feet long itself. The great beast devours it as though it were a child's candy. The three men take cover and watch nervously, one man picking up a small chest and opening it on the beach, pulling out some bottles of perfume or the like. He looks annoyed at the lack of articles practical for survival.

SEven hells, Leona thought, watching the distant form of the giant wyrm. She turned her gaze to the men, hoping they would keep their distance.

Abigail stared open mouthed at the enormousness of the beast while also keeping an eye on the three men.

Rowan gapes then says wistfully 'that beast would make one hell of a barbecued roast..'

No one responds to the disgusting idea of eating a giant serpent, but the three men wait for it to vanish back beneath the waves, then turn to look at the group hidden in the trees, then they jabber among themselves and seem to agree to head back, as they return to their careful positioning and head slowly back towards their ship. "We letting them go?" The pirate asked.

Leona looked dubiously around the group. "Are we strong enough to take them, though?"

"Might be risky," the pirate said, "and if they haven't seen us, then we're alerting their friends for nothing," he shrugged, clearly to concerned over the morality of the brutal potential assault.

Rowan pouts sadly and makes a whatever motion. Just as happy to crash the party or not.. but really they would rather be popping craniums. 'I's rather stay alive.. buh cracking heads is fun too..' Rowan sighs dramatically.
