"Against some, all the guards in the world will not be enough," she shook her head, "But it is comforting, in a way. Have you enjoyed the Tournament?"

"Only on the surface. Still plenty churning beneath. Peace is like a riptide." Killion mused, as much to himself as to his scythe wielding bannerman. "Grow complacent for too long, stop fighting, and you'll find yourself dead." "Never much felt like stopping fighting, neither," he agreed. "Some of our...fellow Ironborn are saying it is finally time for peace. Say that expansion can rest and it is time to," he used the unfamiliar word haltingly, "consolidate our holdings." His tone was level but tinged with the faintest hint of contempt.

"Against some, all the guards in the world will not be enough," she shook her head, "But it is comforting, in a way. Have you enjoyed the Tournament?" "Nothing more fun than two thousand women throwing themselves at your brother," he said with amusement. "It has been funny, at least. I feel perhaps there were more important matters to consider instead of this but the side benefits can't be complained about." Robyn sees a few jealous looks. "I do believe they think I'm trying to seduce you. I think sister and lover are the same word in Valyria ..." He chuckled.

"Is that true or are you joking?" She asked, but smiled anyway, "You would be a fine catch, Nick I am not surprised they'd be jealous, even if they know I am sister, I am monopolising you, stopping them sticking their claws into you." she looked round at the women and smiled, what were a few more people wanting to kill her anyway. "Seen any women who have caught your eye?"

Nymos rubs his shoulder, feeling a bit of ache after his fight in the melee even now. He shakes his head, drinking some wine as he observes the pleasantries with a sigh. "Must be getting on in years..." He mutters to himself, knowing how in his youth such an injury would be negligible. That, or the iron born knew how to give a very good hit.
Still, he couldn't help but smile seeing people at least go a day or so without needing to kill everyone or declare a war. He hoped it would perhaps continue with the business north of dorne now taken care of.

"Catching a man's eye is easy," he said. "Holding their attention is not. And you know how short my attention span is." He looked at her quizzically. "You sound like you are plotting. That's my job," he said with a smile.

"Plotting? You should know that I do not plot, I run at things head first and hope for the best" she grinned, "I think you need someone who understands you though, the kind of things you go through, with the magic and the expectations... " she smiled up at him, "Don't you think?"

You represented us well at the melee."

"Pocket?" She asked, raising an eyebrow, "not at all! On an unrelated note, Lyria asked me to send you her regards," she looked round to see if the woman was present.

"They are half right. It is time to consolidate, as expanding any further would be foolhardy, but as any Ironborn should know that does not mean peace." he replied. "It only means we have something worth holding onto, something others will no doubt soon try and take. We will bleed them when they do."

Lyria may be in the crowd but there's so many people it is hard to tell. Nick nodded. "I see. I shall be sure to pay my respects." As he goes to say more, Kalvin arrives with the rest of the Northerners. The lord looks handsome in his finest silver and black. "I trust I may take this dance," he said with a bit of a smile. /// "We will," Menion affirmed. "But I believe it is our traditional strength to bleed our enemies in their own lands. It lets us feed off their farms and women and sow terror. Letting our enemies make he first move makes us vulnerable to the concerns of the greenlanders."

"I presume you mean with me," Robyn smiled abd kissed Nick's cheek, "think about it."
She turned to her husband, "you look nice, Kalvin." Robyn complimented, stepping closer to him dot hey could dance.

Killion said with the certainty of a man that saw a storm on the horizon. "Just not on these shores. We have outgrown Westeros."

Kalvin kissed her hand and they started a slow dance. "Thank you my dear," he said. "You, on the other hand, are positively ravishing. It's been quite some time since you dressed like that, hasn't it?"
//
Menion looked about and grunted. "Won't miss the weather, that's for damn sure," he grunted. "Let's invade somewhere that doesn't fucking suck next time."
