Hector nods. "I like it. The Ironborn will be striking the rest of the Stormlands shortly enough, so we should be able to take the whole of their lands without many casualties." He raises a hand at the protest. "We fight the wars in front of us now while on campaign," he said simply. "There will be plenty of time to discuss the new world order later."

Word reaches the army that King's Landing has fallen and the Order has fled Westeros. The small remnant of the Kingsland army has moved towards Storm's End.

"The Ironborn?" replied Lyonel. "What do the Ironborn have to do with all this?"

"Repaying us for Myr," Hector said simply. "In their own way."

Lyonel was somewhat shaken at the news, although he could see the sense of the strategy. Still the Ironborn had been their enemy for years. The Reach still was counting the cost of their raids four years ago.
"So the Ironborn have taken Kings Landing. What else will we be allowing them to have?"

"The diplomats can handle that," Hector said. "Our primary concern is still assaulting the Stormlands until peace is declared," he said. "The Baratheons will have no safe haven now save for Storm's End."

"Thn let us take as much as we can as quickly as we can." replied Lyonel. "In any case, if I were a Kingslander lord, swearing fealty to the Goldlands is preferable than doing the same to the Ironborn."
He rolled out a map.
"Korben's strategy is sound. Nightsong has fallen to us. Harvest Hall, Blackhaven and Summerhall are within our grasp. Take them. Gallowsgrey, Stonehelm, Crow's Nest and then Griffins Roost would be our next targets. That then puts us within striking range of Storms End."

"Let's just take what we can, before the squids snake their way into snatching away our new lands." Korben said as he shoke his head. This was turning into a true mess.
"I hope these diplomats do their job. I don't want to go through all this work just to have it turned over to the iron fucking empire."

"Any land we take we're keeping," he said. "Particularly Storm's End. I assure you we aren't a fucking mercenary force," he said. "The Queen has gotten us this far with her planning, trust she can get us farther."

Lyonel glanced uneasily at Korben. His old comrade-in-arms as usual had gotten straight to the point.
"Where is the North in all this?" he suddenly asked Hector. "They too fought in Myr."

"You don't want us to give them a piece too, do you?" he asked. "I'd say the North is..." he looks to the right of the setting sun, "that way. They had no cause against the Baratheons and we saw no reason to ask them for aid."

"Give them a piece? Absolutely not." replied Lyonel. "But I didn't expect the Ironborn to be involved either."
He rolled up the map smiling grimly, the smile not quite reaching his eyes. "I just don't like surprises, Prince Hector. I confess, the news of the Ironborn's involvement in our campaign was a surprise."
He paused, his natural pragmatism kicking in. He shrugged his shoulders.
"What's done is done. Our task is to secure as much of the Stormlands as we can, as soon as we can. Shall we follow Korben's suggestion and drive towards Cape Wrath?"

"Yes," he said. "The Stormlands host will be shrinking daily, so I feel we can take one castle and feel comfortable in our flanks' safety. The Stormlands have no ships so we don't need to fear anything else. It's possible by the time we arrive their army will have broken up entirely. No capital, no hope," he said.

"I'll see to the orders in that case." he replied.

Hector nodded. "Good, we leave tomorrow."

The next moning the army sets out, moving mostly east with a shade of south, on a direct path to Storm's End. Lyonel and Korben are in charge of the raiders, sent to gather food and more from the enemy farms, but for the most part resistance is collapsing rapidly.
