///
Two days after the battle, Prince Hector and a few thousand men arrive. The host at Nightsong is moving north as well, to form an army large and strong enough to smash the Baratheons once and for all.

Korben surveyed the horizon as he and the nightsong host moved towards bitter bridge, spotting all the tell tale signs of the recent battle that had gone on here. He looked to the tiny castle and the stone bridge that served as the main crossing between the stormlands and the reach.
"Guess we get to join history now..." Korben says to himself as he recounted the tales of bitterbridge, and the tales of the battles waged here, back when there used to be seven kingdoms, and the dragons ruled the land.

"You drunk, Korben?" a man called out. "We killed Bryce fucking Dayne! We're the present! The Stormlands is history!" Everyone chuckles.

Korben laughed with the others, smirking at the ribbing as he rode with them, "Not quite yet, but I'll gladly drink to victory once the baratheons good and gone." He said with a smirk, though his mind was on other things.

The army at Bitterbridge swells to nearly fifty thousand men, a gigantic host fit for conquest. With their depleted cavalry it is near certain the Baratheons will have to retreat to avoid being caught in the open by the vast army. Hector summons the army leaders for a meeting. He notes the bodyguard/spy/random dude Cedric. "Nice to see you breathing Cedric," he said. "Sorry we're going to kill all your old countrymen."

Lyonel's orders after the Battle of Bitterbridge had been followed closely when Hector's relief force arrived a couple of days later. Then the welcome news of Nightsong's fall was received, followed a few days later by the arrival of the main host. Lyonel greeted his stepson warmly before going to meet with Hector, who as the Queen's husband was now in command of the host.
"It's all going to plan so far. " he remarked. "Her Grace should be pleased at our progress."

"She will be when word reaches," he said. "You did well driving their cavalry off. They can afford the losses much less than we can." He looks about. "I suspect the Baratheons will try retreating. They have too many men to stop," he said, "but that will give us leave to split their kingdom in half if need be. I'd rather not besiege King's Landing unless we absolutely have to; I have no thirst for civilian blood."

Hector summons the army leaders for a meeting. He notes the bodyguard/spy/random dude Cedric. "Nice to see you breathing Cedric," he said. "Sorry we're going to kill all your old countrymen." Cedric, amused as ever at being included in commanders' meetings just because he'd once been the queen's left.. er, right hand man, gave the Prince Consort a wry smile. "Leaves more castles to me," he joked, though it was pretty obvious he was indeed going to get a castle out of this. Unless he died. Then he'd most likely not get one. "'sides, I prefer countrymen who don't burn people at stakes to try please some bogey god."

"But the gods rule the world," Hector said with a trace of humor, "of course they can only be made happy with people burning. It isn't like they can make their own peopl...I think I just disproved theology," he said. "I'm sure the Stormlands will have plenty of castles with daughters in need of a man to allow them to not be thrown to the streets," he said casually. "Not to get ahead of ourselves. Underestimating the Stormlands' power is not on my list of things to do today. They are more than capable of meeting us in battle." He looked over the map. "So anywhere we go will give us some advantage."

Lyonel nodded at Hector's words. "Take Nightsong, Blackhaven and Harvest Hall at the very least and garrison them to the hilt. The southern Stormlands would be a worthy addition to Her Grace's realm and would deal a significant blow to Aaron's ambitions for his wife to become Queen of the Goldlands."

"Too far," Hector said, "though I like the initiative. We will take the Kingswood castles, and force Aaron into a fight," he said, "and when we win, the war shall be done. Heading to the Marches will only inflame tensions with the Dornish, and I have no desire to fight my own sister's armies," he said. "And only Storm's End has any use to us anyway."

"Their army seemed intent to use the Rose Road to attack us. I say we return the favor..." Korben spoke up at the meeting, smirking as he glanced back to the large host they'd assembled, "Set out to the Kingswoods, maybe even drive them to Cape wrath and keep them there a while. Force their backs against the narrow sea..."

"We've already taken Nightsong and I'd be loathe to give that back to the enemy. I'd also like to curtail the influence of the Order at Summerhall. But I'll leave the political strategy up to you and Her Grace." replied Lyonel to Hector.
There was a short pause. "There's also the matter of a certain Isabel Tarly."

Lord David sounds off in agreement about wishing to find his daughter. Hector looked somewhat annoyed but nodded. "We shall interrogate the prisoners of Nightsong about her, of course, and any word we get will be used to find her. At the moment, though, King Aaron's destruction is the first priority to our forces. And we won't be giving any castles back when this is over," he said.

Lyonel inclined his head in agreement with Hector.
"Then perhaps we should press our advantage while we have it. Korben's suggestion seems a strategy we could explore in more detail."
