Where small scale skirmishing between the West and the Stormlands is occurring. Most of it is in the Tumbleton area.

Korben rides forth along the Mander to the boarderlands, his axe in tow and his horse feed. He is not alone, as others of the goldlands ride to secure their boarder, and stop the violence with violence.

Border skirmishes happen now and again. The losses are light, but the Stormlands cavalry and the Order are sufficient to make the best of the small fights to present. Korben and Lyonel's job will be to ensure that trend is reversed in short order.

Korben goes forth to scout, looking for areas that may be the next site of a skirmish. If one is going on that he stumbles upon, He'll not hesitate to ride in from the flank to take on any stormland invaders.

The north end of the Mander by Tumbleton is the locus for conflict right now. Korean hears there's about three hundred horsemen on the Stormlands side who are doing the bulk of the fighting.

Korben thought it over as he looked to the men, "I want the swiftest members of this cavalry up and ready to ride. Scout out their numbers, I want to know what we're dealing with." He says, planning to help lead the effort himself to scope out the enemies armaments and location to make a plan.

The Stormlanders have about three thousand men, virtually all professional foot and cavalry. Levies aren't around for the skirmishing. They have spears and pikes and swords and archers mostly. They're led by Lord Richard Footly, King Aaron's Master of War.

"Footly's here!?" Korben couldn't help but exclaimed to himself, in as tense a whisper as he could, at the news. The master of war for the Baratheons would probably be pretty damn good at his job. And in Tumbleton it would mean he'd have home field advantage, being that the Footly's were lords of those lands.
"We need to set an ambush. Catch them off guard." He said to himself, coming up with a plan as he looked to Lyonel, "Do you think you can pull off a flanking?"

Lyonel thought for a moment. Delayed because of his attendance on the Queen, Lyonel was a recent arrival, sent out when he heard Footly was in command of the Baratheon forces.
"How many men do we have?" he asked a captain nearby.

Ser Cedric was also present, in his blackened armour, holding his winged helmet under his arm and trying to look as inconspicuous as possible, given that he was in fact a Stormlander. He knew little about the numbers, though.

"Three thousand men is almost an invasion." said Lyonel to Korben. He beckoned to a captain.
"Send messengers out to the local lords. Tell them to muster what they can as soon as they can at Bitterbridge."

"Getting the ones along the mander could prove useful, but we need a plan as well..." Korben said as he began to think of one, "If we take a few men and travel north, we can ride aroud the tip of the mander and attack from the north. The rest of the host can travel over the bitter bridge and ride at them from the south..."
"If we pull it off, we might be able to smash through their ranks quickly. Perhaps even capture a few nobles for ransom." Korben suggested, hoping the others agreed.

Lyonel looked at Korben. "Take five hundred men and do it. I'll move from Bitterbridge towards Tumbleton when enough men are mustered. We'll meet in the middle of Footly's host."

Korben nods and looks to the men, gatheirng those who look to be able to hold their own in a fight, "Gather here, all of you. We ride for the north, now." He said, waiting for the men to assemble before he helps lead the charge up the mander.

Lyonel waited until the men had arrived and moved his force slowly towards Tumbleton, on the look-out for Footly's out-riders and main force.
