Sara looked to Gus. "The key is finding a friendly drink," she said. "I've found the sixth or seventh I talk to is usually very personable."

Morgan rolled her eyes. "Well, drinking without a little conversation sounds rather dull, truly. Surely there is more to this than simply drinking?"

After her astronomy lecture, Morgan met with Sara at their favourite bookstores to try and find Olyvar Manderley. "Good class?" She asked. "I'm hoping word willhave soread of Olyvar's arrival."

Sara nods. "He's staying over at the Dynasty. That nice inn by the Hightower. Gerold saw him yesterday, I guess he's here on business of some sort. Shall we?" she asked. "I see you dressed up," she winks.

Morgan glared. "I wanted to be respectful. I'm hardly dressed for a ball."
It was one of her better gowns, indigo, with silver thread at the cuffs, but still modest.
"Your own dress is quite pretty," she said. "Let's go."

"All my dresses are pretty," she retorted in a cheerful tone. They head down the street, and some sort of small festival is going on. Mulled wine is being made on every street corner and street performers are everywhere. Ahead about a half mile is the Dynasty Inn. As they near it, Morgan sees a few northmen playing cards in the open air of a tavern deck, identified easily with their mermen cloaks. None are Olyvar but it indicates he's probably quite near. Sara looked about. "It's such a lovely day to be outside. I love spring! When it doesn't rain, of course."

"Oh yes. Though summer is even better." As they neared the northmen, she said "Come on, I'll buy us mulled wine while we look for Olyvar. We could watch the puppet show."
She started towards the nearest wineseller.

The wine is strong and warm and cheap, and Sara sips it with pleasure. "We could ask those friends of his. They look like they'd be helpful to some friendly ladies," she chuckled. "They can't risk us bad talking them to the other pretty women, after all." Morgan can see a man juggling flaming wooden pins of some sort in an intricate pattern. "Now that is talent."

"I wonder how often he burns himself during practice. But he really is dextrous." Morgan spoke with a tinge of envy.
"We'll speak to those men," she agreed, starting forward again.
When they reached the men she smiled brightly. "Excuse me. I'm looking for Olyvar Manderley. I heard that he might be here."

A man looks back and tips his hat as he rises. "M'lady," he said, "Master Olyvar is down the street, second floor of the Dynasty. We can take you to him if you need," he offered. The half dozen Manderly men all grunt varying forms of agreement.

Morgan glanced at Sara before smiling at the man. "Thank you, that would be most kind of you. He and I are old friends but it would hardly be proper for me to burst in upon him."

The men nod and rise. "Lady Morgan then? Olyvar said you might stop by. You and the Lady Sara are the only two women he knows in the city, I think," he said. "Please, follow us." The northmen set off towards the giant tavern.
Inside the place is richly furnished, music coming through the windows to the outside streets. A woman is singing a song about the Andal invasion and a mock duel is taking place. The men stay at the entrance. "Second floor, m'lady."

Morgan lingered just a moment to listen to a few words of the song, then she led the way upstairs. Once they reached the top she looked around for Olyvar.

The young man is writing something when he sees Morgan. He rises and bows lightly. "My lady," he said, "you look well. Are those chains tiring your neck out? A dozen...eleven," he said, counting swiftly. "I was just thinking of heading to the Citadel to try finding you."

She smiled. "I've had the advantage of you. Sara heard about your arrival already. I always did wish you'd chosen to stay, Olyvar. Have you been busy?"
