Augustus looked around briefly, trying to find the gentleman Morgan spoke of, and grinned as the realization dawned upon him. She thought he was a gentleman.
"Who are you, actually?" he asked the nameless girl, turning to her.

"Yet, now you worry the conversation is boring?" she shook her head, clearly unimpressed, "I expected so much more from the second ever woman to get a link."
"Verruca Dalt" She said, swishing her long hair.

Morgan had to bite her lip to stop herself from smiling at the girl's ridiculous name.
"Now come on, you seem to have taken a dislike to me and I've no idea what I did wrong. May I suggest we cease squabbling with one another? I came here to relax and have a few drinks, not to bicker."

"I did not take a dislike to anything, I was just calling you out on being ridiculous" she said, perhaps not realising how rude it was, "Stop bickering then."

Gus's blue eyes widened as the girl mentioned her name. "The Veruca Dalt?" he wondered aloud, clearly impressed.

Nearby a boy who studied with them at the Citadel entered the tavern. With him was his dog, a gnashery little thing that seemed to hate everyone as much as the boy did. His name was Denys, often known as the Menace. He observed the goings on with a smirk on his face.

Morgan frowned. "Fine then," she said to Veruca. "Let us speak of pleasanter things." Or not at all, she thought. She looked around for Sara. "Have you been to this place often?"

Gus didn't know why exactly she was famous there, but she was, and he admired her for a moment, as well as her father's wealth, before noticing Denys. He knew him a little so he waved him over with a grin. Team Shitstarter had assembled. "Keep that bitch of yours away from me, though," he called to Denys, and turned round to Morgan, Sara, and everyone. "Everyone," he said, "this is Denys."

Sara handed Morgan a strong wine. "Denys, you clever little shit. I didn't think they'd ever let you out after the last time..." She shook her head. "Veruca, it is ever so nice to see you gain. It reassures is all tha your father's money can buy a class for his daughter's learning but not a class for her manners."

Denys laughed as he came over, his dog giving Augustus a look. The boy had scraggly black hair and a constant smirk on his face. "There's always a way, especially with the maesters." He hefted a slingshot he had made himself, laughing. "They admire my acumen for making things."

"All you make is trouble," she noted. "But the masters can probably use that too." She looked about. "If I step in that dog's shit you're paying for my shoes."

"If you step in that dog's shit then you are an idiot," Denys said with a snorting laugh. "I need a drink!" He walked off to the bar to get a beer.

Morgan sipped her wine thoughtfully. "And I thought we were going to be enganging in intellectual conversation with our drinks, not trading insults," she said.

"There's no point in talking with our drinks," said Gus, almost sadly, and flashed her a smile. "They hardly ever talk back."
