"He doesn't deserve a reward," Robyn said quietly, "apparently the Order, but when I confronted Janelle, she claimed to not know... But who really knows," she frowned and looked round at him, "what happened with that? Crowl said Cassana died... How is Nick? Does he live? Is he okay?" She asked, voice very concerned, clearly worried for her eldest brother, in all honestly, if he was well, she thought he'd be with them to help find her.
"The wildlings who tried taking me also tried to get another woman, I tried to help her, freed her when we left, but her family may come after us, and then there is this carnival king out there, the Antler King... I don't see why they would come after us though."

"Because that's just how our lives work," he muttered. "The Order? More fucking Dayne trouble?" He gripped her with his left hand. "I HATE fucking Daynes. Nick is alive but he...hasn't been the same, really." He hugs her. "I'm just...so glad you're safe, my love."

"Regret giving them back their sword?" Robyn looked concerned still, "not the same, how do you mean? What is wrong with him? Where is he?" She asked, looking forward as if he would be there. She covered the arm holding her, and squeezed his hand, "I am glad you are too, if anything happened to you, I do not know what I would do, I love you so much... And we... We've not had enough time to lose one another..."

"I do," he said. "The days of House Dayne are over as far as them being the heroes of legend. Nick lost his sword and he is...haunted, I think. Knowing you're alive will be a blessing to him." He whispered. "We'll never have had enough time to lose each other."

"Perhaps I should go to him?" Robyn suggested, Nick had done so much for her, after all, he was her brother and she loved him, "the sword is gone? He put so much effort and time into it... It was priceless... "
She brought his hand up to kiss his palm, "I know, but just the one night... It would be so...unjust, we waited so long."

"Going to be a lot more than one night now," he promised. "and they are ever so long here..." He smiles. "Nick will appreciate you visiting, but I think he took a spell from Oriax that has left him dazed. Hopefully he recovers." The miles pass as they chat. "I hope we don't miss the battle..."

"We are going to have to sleep sometime, Kal." Robyn felt her self smile, but it was somewhat short lived as worry for Nick took hold. What if something awful in the sword got into him... No, no sense thinking about it before she knew more, she'd just upset herself, "so with the army North... Are we not worried about south of the wall at the moment? Any news on what is happening the?"

"Brynden Lannister died," he said. "But for now those south of the Wall are stuck without us. Every kingdom is represented here, most of the best warriors. No one is out to threaten us," he said. "Yet, anyway."

"For now, time moves very quickly, and who knows what might be coming from elsewhere," Robyn said with a sigh, "do you know anything from the east? Is the war still going over there?"

Kalvin thought. "If I can be honest, I didn't ask," he admitted. "We're facing ice monsters from hell. The dragons can wait for the moment. And France's Dayne, in Myr." They set up camp for the night, about eighteen miles from the army.

"Just because they can wait, doesn't mean they will." Robyn pointed out, but didn't push, she could find out tomorrow.
She settled into camp with Kalvin, "do you keep a shifted watch?"

"Of course," he said. "We have plenty of men to hold the night. Every soldier has guard duty for a shift every third night."

"Do you take a watch? I'd be happy to..." She said, though she didn't sound as if she wanted to. She ideally wanted to spend the night with her husband

"We will have it tomorrow," he said. "The joy of setting the schedule," he winked.
