Uhtred stares back across what was once smooth ice, now a jagged icescape "We have to inform the host. No way an army is crossing that."

Robyn looked at uthred, "Well... considering it is not smashed to pieces, I have to agree"
"Can we go please?" She looked to Kalvin, still moving south.

"I vote each of us donate 10% of our forces to the new Night's Watch and be on our merry fucking way." Killion said, panting. "Perfectly content spending the rest of my life pretending I saw none of that."

"you can;t force people to join the nights watch" Robyn pointed out, "It's not going away, it's still going to be up here!"

"It's always been up here" Uhtred says "If our ancestors couldn't get rid of it with all their strength, what makes you think we can?"

As they sprint south, they come across nine of the strange beings, all looking bored, their strange human-like but sharper teeth glinting in the whiteness. They are spread across the gap that they had come in through, the only remaining path to safety. Kalvin slows as they approach them, panting, tired, armor and ice shoe making everyone weary. The sinuous creatures look happy to have found some meat, and they draw their strange crystal swords. One speaks finally, in a strange and grating voice. "Welcome to the Sea of Names..." it chuckles. "He said you'd come."

"When you're king you call it commanding, not forcing." he quipped, sense of humor returning without the masses of dead in sight. Out of sight, out of mind after all. He nodded as the bald beardless stranger spoke, trying to place his voice and face but unable to. "What he said."
He stopped dead in his tracks as they ran into nine others. This was exactly why he never went on adventures with Uhtred and Harwyn.

This is exactly why no one but NIck went on Adventures with Robyn, who was perhaps the Uthred and Harwyn of the North.
Great.
"I don't suppose you fine gent's will just... step aside and let us pass will you?" Robyn asked, somewhat sarcastically, drawing the dragonglass dagger. "Remember" she said more quietly, "Their swords will freeze you solid."

Uhtred lights his torch and holds his axe in the other to fight. The paltry flames were nothing against the chill, but he still drew strength from them.

"Passs...into our service," the Other intoned. "Sleep will be restful for you flesh candles. Warmth is so...exhausting. Life is so...straining. Sleep....rest....serve," it said. "You've burned so long, it is time to be put out."

"You've burned so long, it is time to be put out." "I've a mind to burn for a while longer now" Uhtred rumbles, the torch flame growing in size as he speaks. Red is creeping back into his eyes "we are not your servants" Full Plate Greataxe 98.01 Fire 90 (Burn em when they're farther away, axe em when they get close) Brute Force: Once a fight, if facing two or more enemies, if Uhtred hits one opponent, he may hit both at the same force. This does not apply if the second opponent rolled high enough to hit him instead.

'how about we just go with you stepping aside?" she asked, and was reminded of her conversation with Elmangoreth. "I plan on burning for a lot longer yet thank you."
She got a bit sad, when the artist formally known as Uthred beat her to it.
She looked at the others, "Seems we have little choice but to fight, shall we?"

"I've little patience for candle metaphors and fire puns, so I'm just going to kill you." Killion replied simply, charging into the fray. He resisted the urge to threaten to shove his "flesh candle" where the sun don't shine.
Swords: 102 Full Plate Shield (From Ability)
Riposte: Using two swords gives Prince Killion the benefits of a shield. Counters the first hit he is dealt inflicting a -10 to his opponent while suffering the effects of the hit
Master Duelist: Riposte now prevents 10 damage from the first attack suffered in addition to its normal effects, and it ignores damage reduction. Every round of a fight that ends in no hit gives Killion a stacking +5 bonus to the next round's roll.

Robyn agreed with the Scum King and joined they fray also.
Small Blades (102)
Impeccable Skill: acrobatic and dexterous and well trained by the North's greatest warriors, Robyn imposes -15 to ranged attacks against her, and avoids the first 25 damage she suffers in any fight (total per day) due to her ability to evade blows.
