Benjen nodded. "Oriax is dead and the Others will soon follow him. We have enough dragonglass to arm a lot of people."

She nodded. "Hopefully it's enough. If we end them now our descendants can live without fear of it."

July, 384
The starving and freezing remains of the mighty host that had marched north returns. A trail of bodies is behind them, as many had succumbed to cold and starvation or wounds suffered in battle or in senseless conflicts over warmer coats or boots or the few women around. Morale is low, but perks up a tiny bit as the small army stationed at the Wall distributes what supplies are available. More food is en route from the south, and the fleet sailing back and forth from White Harbor, and the Ironborn at Shadow Tower, and the starving men are swiftly brought to heel by Malik and Kalvin and the other leaders. Word spreads that the Night's Watch watch may finally be ended.

Robyn had never been so glad to see the intimidating structure, it felt like it had been so long since she had been here... weeks months. But the wall meant what it always had, safety, security, and a clear path to her home... which may now be a ruin... but hell if she cared all that much. She and Kalvin could start to rebuild it. Raise a family... Who else knew what.
After all the men were safely through, Robyn went to find her direwolf.

On arrival at Castle Black, the young Tyrell saw to the comfort of his remaining men. He had taken command of the late Lord Banefort's force, as there appeared to be no other commander from the west left alive or present. It was still cold and even though they were now ensconced behind the relative safety of the Wall, Arthur resolved to move further south as soon as he could. He still had the bulk of his original force - over three and half thousand men.

Arthur's men move out after two days of recovery, heading east to Eastwatch for a nine hundred mile ferry from the fleet that lets them rest before disembarking at Maidenpool. The road is much clearer from there. They'll arrive in the West around the middle of September.
Robyn sees the pup with her new sisters in law. It is a bit bigger but still small, and it trots over to her and licks her hands. Valerie smiled. "He's so cute!" Kalvin plays with him a moment then gets about to disbanding most of the army. It's far too expensive to feed for much longer, even with the dead.

"He is!" Robyn agreed enthusiastically, and kneels down, hugging the wolf to her, rubbing her face against it's soft fur. "I hope he has not been too much trouble..." she smiled at Valerie. She wonder how the girl felt about returning to the ruins of winterfel soon, Valerie was strong, but it was the place she'd nearly died.

"None at all!" she chirped. "I love him! It'll be so nice having you with us in...well, in the town for now!" she said. "It's in good shape! And the workers said the castle is getting fixed, slow but sure!"

Nymos was amazed to see civilization, even as bare as what the night's watch could provide. More so was he at the simple spread before him. A single half of a dried out bread roll, and a small container of water, were comforts that weren't avaliable out in the cold. Snow only served to freeze ones insides as they tried to melt it in their mouths, and any streams or rivers were as frigid as the ice around them.
He made sure the Dornish Spearmen got their meals first, or what was left of them. He ordered each many get only half a roll for now, lessons from his homeland teaching him that eating too much too quickly after fasting for so long could kill a man. Nymos Himself had not eaten since his horse, the animals meat and eatable organs handed out to his men as well when it had finally keeled over.
He ate the roll slowly, wiping away the burning and stringing moisture from his eyes off his face as he did so. If not for the red steel spear in his possession, he'd have thought this entire ordeal was a nightmare.

"Well, I am sure he'd love you to play with him whenever you want" She stood and motioned for Valerie to walk with her if she wanted, it was odd, after the march and the starving and the lack of sleep and energy... she felt restless, "It will be nice to stay somewhere for a while, even if it is the town, I think everyone here is in need of a rest, all of us." she looked down at Shadow, "and you need to get used to your new home." she said, to the pup, scratching his head. "It will be lovely to make Winterfell my home properly, it's been my home in spirit for so long."

Kalvin claps Nymos on the back. "Hell of a job, Lord Qorgyle. A fucking nightmare, but we finally woke up." He looked about. "Wall will be even lonelier, now."

Valerie nodded. "And before too long I'll be stuck moving out," she said. "To some crappy other castle. You all better find me a real man," she threatened in a very slightly anxious way. "Not some foppy one I see at Eddard's Rest. But I cannot wait for a real bath in the hot springs."

"You and me both" Robyn said, and smiled, "Your brother won't see you married to some pathetic man, I'll make sure you have a strong man who deserves you." she grinned, "If you like, you could stay with us forever if you wanted though, if I had my way."
She looked round and smiled a bit evilly, "Have you ever met Lord Crowl?" she asked with a soft laugh.

"I did say a man," she said, with a look. "He is a bit...well, for fuck's sake he eats people," she said. "Too bad your brothers can't stop wanting that lady lion's tits. I liked Hector," she said glumly.
