She smiled at him. "Good. Thank you. I'm going to my room for a bath and some food I'll see you later."
She wondered what her father wished to discuss with Olyvar, but right now she felt that food and a bath was more important. So she called to the maids to draw water for a bath and provide her with food (bread and cheese with a cup of wine) and then she settled down to wait. While she was waiting, she began reading the coded book once more.

The book is using a number code. She is almost certain the code is referring to pages and sentences in a text. Finding which book they used is crucial.

She thought for a moment and began searching the book for anything that might indicate which book was used for the code. She even checks to see if there is anything hidden in the spine or any pages stuck together.

The book itself has nothing, but an absently placed paper used as a bookmark is from an old history of the seven kingdoms prior to Aegon Targaryen. The closest place that might have an extant copy outside the Citadel is Lannisport, the Rock, or perhaps Eddard's Rest.

She placed the bookmark carefully within the journal's pages once more. Soon she would have to make a journey, after she'd spoken to her father. She knew she could not risk going withing a proper escort, especially now. for now she laid the journal aside. She bathed with her maid's assistance, ate and then decided to nap for a while. She dreamed of dark cells and agonising pain.

When she is up and about, the men are eating breakfast, studying a map of Oldtown.

Morgan joined the men as the servant brought her toast and bacon. She looked and felt tired due her night of nightmares and unbroken sleep.
"It's early to be studying maps," she remarked. "What's the plan, Father?"

"We wait for the raven," he said. "Walther is off helping one of my primary landed knights deliver his firstborn, so he won't be back for a few days," he said. "Until then, though, Olyvar here is helping me point out every Citadel maester's birthplace we can think of."

She looked at the map.
"There must be maesters from all over. The Citadel is valued by all the kingdoms except for the Iron Islands. All lords have masters if they afford to feed him. Is there a pattern perhaps? I'd think there would be more southern masters than otherwise."

"We know, but perhaps there are more from a specific place, or some pattern." They stare. "Though if there is, we don't see it."

"Perahps we can ask other acquaintances, if there's a way to do so without exciting suspicion," Morgan suggested. "We need to know mostly if they have backing from one of the royal houses or the Lords Paramount. Even one of the wealthier banner houses might be inclined to sponsor novices. I know that maesters are usually sent to keeps far away from their homeland once they have forged their chain, but they have control of the castle's ravens. They can surely correspond with their former homes But it seems clear to me that House Hightower has nothing to do with it. They opposed Lady Hightower's reforms in the stroongest possible terms. They even offered to let me stay if I deliberately sabotaged the other girls." She sighed. "I still don't know whether I'd have done it or not."
She paused to eat a morsel or two then she said "We found a coded book, Father. That might help us find out what they are doing but I think we need another book to crack the code. We don't have the book in our own library, I know that for certain. We might have to go to Casterly Rock. The royal family might have a copy."

"Yes, Father. I think I should keep a low profile, though. They might still be after me." She looked to Olyvar. "Will you come with us?"

He shakes his head. "I'm headed north. At least to Eddard's Rest."

She thought for a moment. "A pity, but you have your duties and your family, I know." Yet she felt a pang of regret at losing a friend. "Will you rally the North against the Citadel?"
